Brumeran is a chimera that wanders around the southern portion of Winterspring.

She wanders around even more then Ursius, so giving exact coords are very hard. Look at her page (Click on the "Brumeran Slain" link on this page) for coords. I would, however, recommend waiting and looking around 62.5, 57.9 for her, as you can fight her without risk of adds (It's on or near the road.)

She's a level 58 Chimera with lightning breath and a stackable poison effect. Nature protection would be recommended here. The poison will eat down at your health fairly quickly. I'd recommend bringing a nature protection potion (And/or some Anti-Venom) or a priest. Mages (Frost especially) shouldn't have much problem assuming that they have bandages and potions at the ready. I'm assuming that locks shouldn't have much problem either. For other classes, I'd recommend hunting her with some other people, or pulling her to the Everlook guards. (Make sure that, if you try this, that you get enough damage on her so that you receive credit when the guards kill her.) (I also don't know if it's possible to do anymore. It would help if someone would confirm this for me.) Of course, depending on your gear and level, you may have a little or alot of trouble dealing with her. I'd always reccomend finding a group.

For those without a UI, she's in the wilderness ranging from a little below the frozen lake going south past the group of elite dragonkin. She goes south from there. I would recommend waiting for her around an alliance NPC along the road leading south. You should find her around there. If you want to hunt for her in the wilderness, following the listings of coordinates on Brumeran's page (Click the Brumeran Slain link) should give you a good idea of her path.

quite easy, soloed as lvl 57 frost mage, with green gear. Tips for frostmages: use elemental to boost damage and let it hold aggro in the beginning - it should die right when it should despawn. Get rid of the stacking debuff with icelock and coldsnap for another elemental + IB if you need.

She spawns when you pick up the quest so if you can't find her abandon it and get the quest again. She spawns at the southern end of her patrol route. Shes not immune to Hibernate or Stun so its a very easy for a druid to kill her.

Found her at 60,61. Soloed easily as a 56 Shadow Priest.

Luckily, I didn't have to roam around to find her. I was coming back from the discovering the gorge and saw her to my left. A 66 Tauren Warrior was standing there being hit by her, so I tagged her quick and he left.. didn't even help me kill her.

One-shot solo'd last night as 57 feral druid. There is an area thats open far south along the road to the right that she pats by quite often. I'm not exactly sure of the coords, but I usually find her in the same vicinity of a broken wagon/barrel like structure sitting in the snow. I accidently aggro'd a passing owl towards the end of the fight and it almost killed me. Be careful of them when you're fighting the elite.

Solod this easy first try as a 53 Lock, decided not to go for chain fear for risk of adds and resists. Instead just DoT and kite. Whenever a DoT wears of stand still till Brumeran comes back into range and re apply, at which point Brum will start casting Chain lightning or Poison Bolt, ur dots=instacast his bolt takes 2-3secs. So DoT, run, by the time his cast finishes ur out of range again. Rinse, Repeat.

Coords are right on! 55 hunter solo, super ez! keep surpent sting up and a few auto shots turn growl off on pet and kite down road, i killed it b4 i got to everlook.

Found her at 60, 61. I soloed her as a 55 Frost Mage, the water elemental is pretty important. Make sure it keeps the aggro, and you use cold snap to revive it and let it tank some more.

Soloed as 56 level fire mage (238 fire spell damage). Interrupt her Lightning Bolt and Venom Spit using Counterspell and Blink (to get out of range). Nuke whenever you are far enough. You'll probably need to use a healing potion and Mana Citrine, especially if you don't have as high spell damage as I had. Make sure you have a long clear way to run when kiting her.

soloed as a 56 feral druid. dire bear, frenzied regen, pop out, barkskin, healing touch, regrowth, dire bear to finish her off. unfortunately, i didn't know about the quest, and just did it for fun. now, i can't find her. lol.

Ursius and Brumeran are no longer Elites as of todays patch, which means its a possibility that Shy-Rotam and her Mate are no longer Elite aswell. I'm not to that part in the quest string yet but will edit this post accordingly if no one else has the info by then.

*edit* Confirmed, Shy-Rotam and her Mate have both been reduced to Non-elites.

Found her at 62-58. Took her down as a 53 rogue. Had to use evasion, and one major healing pot.

Patch 2.3 note: She is no longer elite but a lvl58 normal mob. Very easy. Spotted a bit north of Frostwhisper Gorge on the west side of the road. Gives 9000xp (I was lvl56 at that time).

(58,54) next to all colibrats, i killed him. After patch 2.3 he became non-elite.

I found Brumeran at coords 59,54 he is not an elite and i soloed this as a 56 mage. he is very easy to kill.

level 58 non elite....found at 55 46, the quest gives 9000 exp. Brumeran was pretty easy to kill as a 57 hunter, my pet could have soloed it :P

Very easy quests. Did it as a 59 warrior. Finding him was the biggest problem, since the area is packed with elites.

wow, after 1 minute of getting quest and following road south i stumblled onto her. Right across from the first cave in owl wing thicket...on left side of road. Easy to defeat.

Non elite now when i kill him still hits vary hard tho killed him at 58,53 near lots of dragonkins so be on the look out for add pats slowly also

Very easy quest, took him down as lvl 56 mage with bad gear.

Found him near 60.62, make a macro "/target Brumeran" and spam it, then it's much easyer to find him.

i soloed with a 55 lvl retri dwarf pala...i had cleanse and stoneform so it was pretty easy...i found it following the south road...pretty easy

Altho finding her took a lot of time.. looked everywhere around owl thicket.. ran thru the dargon elites still could not locate her...

I asked in general if any1 was on the quest or if they wanted to help and go figure she pops up and attacks me haha

I solo'd on my 53 demon lock which was pretty easy just used shadow bolt/corruption/immolate/drain life... she resisted a few times but was able to keep my felguards life up and basically let him do the work.. until an owl decided to join in on the fun and attack too... killed Brumeran but the owl was still on me had no healthstone haha and no mana to fear.. so just as the owl died my felguard and me both passed away :)

as long as you know what you are doing this is pretty easy, just watch for adds

Found Brumeran literally right next to the road at 62,57. Never left the road and very easy to kill as 56 fury/prot warrior.

The mob comes to 61,56. You can wait here until he comes.
If you go walk more to west, you must kill there elite mobs.
That is more heavy.

Easily done as 55 frost mage with 100 spell damge, popped water elemental. And nuked with frostbolt and counterspelled hes beam. Don't fear for the fight, it's easy. I did found it at 58.62, good place since you have alot of space, and you don't need to be afraid of pulling adds. You can, if you want to be here, pick up the quest "Luck Be With You" the crystal you need to pick up in this quest is just down the road from here.

I found her just north of Frostwhisper Gorge

Took me a while, be carefull of the elites in Mazthroil they were bastards before the expansion, and they're bastard's now. - Deadly frostbolt. Try to avoid them.

"/target Brumeran" is very usefull as said above.

Brumeran is no longer elite. Some of the elite Dragonkin in the same area will be more difficult.

Brumeran is travels north and northeast of Dun Mandarr. U should get the Wild Guardians quest too while your doing this.

Easily solo'd as a 54 Enhancement Shaman..

If it wasn't for the 70 Hunter that decided to kill me when Brumeran was at 19%.

BUT! Ankh saved the day, nuked Brumeran down, got the kill and died again by the Hunter.

So ye, he's easymode.

60,61 is a respawn point for this one- yup.
Every 5-10 min, so just run around killing the screechers until he appears.
VERY easy kill.

Soloed as a level 53 undead shadow priest. Kept up VE when I could, as well as VT and SW:P. The key was a bit of kiting back toward the road and wanding to keep her interested and to conserve mana. I still went oom before the end and ended up having to health pot once when I didn't have the mana for PW:S. Definitely not something for the faint-hearted to try, but I did one-shot her, so it's doable. I also got very lucky and spotted her in a location where there were no aggressive adds, so kiting went very smoothly.

Oh, and a note to the earlier posters who did not get rep gains: it is highly likely that Blizzard removed the rep gains for Horde when they opened this quest chain to Alliance in patch 2.3. Alliance players doing this quest chain don't get rep gains either.

Brumeran spawns when you accept the quest. Just ride along the road, and head to point 59.2,62.0 its the earliest you can get to him. Its also out of the way so you won't be bothered by any other adds. Just an update: he is 58 NON ELITE - easy to solo for most any class 1 or 2 lvls lower.

Easy to do as a 57 prot warrior.

Shield bash comes in handy for this fight, as this dragon is a caster.

I could be wrong on how this creature spawns, but I believe it spawns while you are actively under chase. I looked and looked and never found it but when I road my mount around until a few spawns were on my tail, voila, it was on me too out of nowhere.

Perhaps two conditions... around the location 62,56... aggro some things and run around a minute and then fight the mob and Brumeran.

This is the same as the crater quest for the pheramones.... same thing happened to me there.

As a hunter, I tracked Beasts, did a /find to find Brumeran. Went to the site it told me to (62.0, 56.6) and within a minute or two it showed up. Level 58, not a hard kill.

Killed Brumeran at 54.5 45.5 by The Ruins of Kel'Thril . Found it within minutes of starting the guest.

** Why does it say this quest is HORDE only? It's from NPC's for Gadgetzan, but I'm Alliance and can do it ;) lol **

Absolutely confirmed, I ran around for any hour last night, never did find him. Decided to start fresh today, read this page again and decided to try it this way, he was the first one I saw on the road at 60,62

Killed Brumeran without any difficulty on a 53 Draenei frost mage, put up an Ice Barrier and my Elemental and took her down with no problem. I'd say that Hunters, Warlocks, and Mages would be able to solo this mob easily.

Found her at 62.4,57.6 while another player was fighting her. Nothing around but friendly birds so I agree that it's a great place to fight her. Now I sit and wait for respawn......

Update: Respawned in 5 minutes in the same spot.

Just thought that I would add this also. I had been looking for Brumeran for a while, last nite I met up with thwo other Hunters and we looked as a group. After about 10 minutes of looking as a group I located her. I called for the others in out group and began to kill her. Didnt figure she would go down as fast as she did and one of the guys in our group didnt get the credit. I had him abandon the quest, then shared the quest with him and instantly she appeared, and was killed again.

Taking the quest does not spawn Brumeran. If that were true, hypothetically speaking, you could take the quest and some random schmoe kills him before you get there, and you're screwed. Brumeran spawns a few minutes after he is killed and follows a pre-programmed wandering path until he is killed again, just like Fozruk in Arathi Highlands.

No, I have bumped into Brumeran and Ursius both about a gazillion times when I did not have the quest to kill them, and once I had it, there were nowhere to be found. This isn't game mechanics, it's life. You trip over something when you don't need it, but when you do, you can never find it.

Incedentally, I am sitting at 61.6, 56.3 alt-tabbed out to write this very post, and I get attacked. When I alt-tabbed back to the game to see what was attacking me, guess who it was? Yep, it was Brumeran. Quest complete.

I took the quest just before i logged out one day, then the next day i was gonna make it, run around like 20minutes and i didn't found it, then i tried again today, run around like 20minutes again then i tried doing like "danawhittaker" and retook the quest, then when i ran back brumeran was there, and i dont think that this is a lucky shot or anything like that, i think that she might not be spawned 24/7 it's a mob that will spawn when u take the quest so u can actually kill her, i recommend u to take the quest and look for her were wowhead has point it out on the "brumeran slain" if u can't found her after 5-10minutes looking go and retake the quest and try the place near the road, it's there i think she spawn just a littl bit east from the first way point. ty for the comment, made the quest xD

Its ridiculously hard to find groups for these old quests, you either have to pester your friends to come 1 shot things for you, or have a leveling buddy, or be way over level to complete them solo.

I found him in Mazthoril. The best way to get there is t accept another quest called, Enrage Wildkin, and it's where you need to find the 'Blue-Feathered Amulet.' You will come to a cave and a camp filled with Owlbeasts. I found Brumeran by following the path that goes around the lefthand side of the cave. Stay close to the left of the mountain and run all the way down until you come across the elite dragonkin's. He was flying amongst them when i saw him. He is no longer elite and has health around the 3500 mark. Fairly easy to dispose of, just watch you don't aggro the mobs near him. Makes it much tougher.

Don't waste more than 15 minutes looking for this guy. You could of easily done 2 other quests and saved yourself a headache running in circles.

As a 55 Frost mage i killed her within 7 secs she hit me with a lighting breath and attempted a poison attack which i counter spelled and then i simply nova'd and frostbolt+fire blast shattered her down. Dead. not difficult at all imo

One hour so far looking for her on her usual path (and avoiding scalebanes), no luck finding her. I will try to abandon and retry at spawn point, see what happens.
