Travel to Mount Hyjal and fly to the Shrine of Aviana, there's a scenario starts.
First, find Skylord Shadegrove, he's inside the house under the staris. As you done slay demons to fill up the counter.
Unfortunally, Skylord Shadegrove is a traitor, he'll steal the Idol and teleport away. Get back to the Dreamgrove.

Quest Hand-in is located INSIDE the dreamgrove; not the portal area. There's a small path behind the north western moonwell to take you there if you cannot fly. Do not bother going inside the barrows den it's not in there.

Quest line for the class mount starts at Grovewarden Proudhorn on Broken Shore after completing Breaching the Tomb with a Druid.

Talon's Call - use Dreamwalk and visit your order hall
Defense of Aviana - leave your order hall and use the eastern portal to Hyjal, flight path Shrine of Aviana). Talk to Skylord Shadegrove and kill demons to fill the bar. After that, enter the building and use your Dreamwalk again.
There is a small path beyond the moonwell in the northwest of the map. Find Thisalee Crow.
You Can't Take the Sky from Me - fly to Azsuna (Challian's Terrace or Azurewing Repose) and the marked quest area. You'll get phased into a scenario.
- find Thisalee Crow
- use Cat Form, Prowl and go to /way 43.07 22.98
- kill the attacking enemies to fill the bar
- run up the hill (43.0 24.0) and let the Lunarwing Owl transport you to the ship
- kill demons and Infazzar the Shade. You can use Thornstalk Barbs on him
- return to your order hall

Archdruid's Lunarwing Form will be added to your spell book automatically after turning in the quest, it replaces your Travel Form.
This class mount changes your flight form's appearance. Its color depends on your race:

Night elf : black
Tauren: brown
Troll: red
Worgen: white

If you don't like it, you can turn it off (and on again) at Skycaller Faeb in your order hall:

In the last phase you can stealth past the harpies and kill the demon yourself, leaving Thisalee to her doom.

I hate that damned NPC. :D

Note for people who are bugged out on any part of this quest (or possibly any class mount scenario) that it seems you can reset the scenario by resetting your instances and it will reset your progress as zoning out /logging out will just keep you at the same point unable to progress.

Zone out, reset all instances, start again. Easy :D

Like many scenarios, make sure you set aside enough time (more than you might think) to finish this scenario plus another 10 - 15% just in case the servers are in hiccup mode. If you get disconnected for as much as an instant (duration of an instant varies), you get to start the whole thing over again. The Time-Constrained Player didn't even try this one; life is too short. I don't mind the length as much as the repetition - lots of same old same old. Reminds one of the Wintersaber grind in Vanilla. Endless.

For those that maybe can't see the quest hand-in back at Dreamgrove after doing the shrine defense, the hand-in is in the top left of the Dreamgrove map - the marker might be appearing on the banner, but Thistalee should be there at the moonwell.

Never seen anything as nonsensical as us losing our flight forms just because we don't have some idol I have never seen before in my life.

Druids have never gained their powers through magical foci. This is ridiculous.

Doing these quests in BFA, I couldn't use the Dreamwalk ability at the end of the scenario, even though the quest specifically asks to do so... since it wasn't mentionned in previous comments, it would seem to be either a bug or a BFA change.

If you're doing this in BFA, at the time i'm writing this you wont be able to use your dreamway teleport like it asks you to at the end of the scenario. However, if you run out of the area near the shrine, it'll remove you from the scenario and put you back into regular hyjal with your quest ready for turn-in, and you can use your teleport then.

So we first lose Ysera in a horrible way earlier, and then we just surrender the shrine of Aviana because some no-name NPC betrayed us with no set-up whatsoever? This is Mt Hyjal, for crying out loud. Then we lose our wings because an idol is taken AND we retreat even further in Val'shara? Bleugh, wtf.

Cannot complete this quest as of Shadowlands prepatch. Thisalee Crow is not appearing at the turn in location after completing the scenario and the quest is a gray question mark on her in the center of the Dreamgrove. Log still shows as "0/1 Help Defend the Shrine of Aviana" despite having completed the scenario and being told to return to the Dreamgrove. I've abandoned and reset instances 3 times now.

Okay, so I'm doing this quest December 2020, and it's only half-bugged.

1. Run around and kill stuff.
2. Talk to the druid indicated by a dot in the shrine itself.
3. Be confused as conversation plays out with characters you can't see, though their talk-boxes show up on screen.
4. Somehow complete the scenario by existing?
5. Then you have to RUN OUT of the shrine before you can teleport to the Dreamgrove. It's not far to go.

Done! (Hey, it got me the flight form, and that's what I was after.)

as of 3/1/22 this quest after the scenario gets to the final stage and you are asked to teleport out, I click Dreamwalk to get the to dreamway and it does not work. Is this a known bug?

Buggy quest. Did everything according to the quest, but couldn't teleport back to Dreamgrove from the scenario. I hearthstoned to Dalaran. Mistake. I was stuck in the mini-scenario phase and there was nothing in Dreamgrove. I abandoned the quest, logged out and back in and took the quest again. This time after finishing the scenario I ran outside the scenario radius and it returned to normal Cataclysm Hyjal. Now the Dreamgrove teleport worked and finished it normally.

Seems very buggy in 2025. Upon arriving in the general area, I was abruptly and instantly teleported into the scenario. After taking a few mins to find the guy to start the next stage of the campaign (beside the innkeeper), a few seconds later after speaking to him the scenario instantly completes itself without me having done anything.

I'm then asked to return to the dreamgrove, but I am unable to use Dreamwalk at all, even after Hearthing out of the scenario area. I'm also unable to fly during the whole scenario, but can after leaving it. However, after hearthing to Dalaran I was then completely unable to use the flight master, getting an Unspecified Taxi Server Error". So... manually flew from Dalaran to Dreamgrove, and the questgiver in not present to turn the quest in.

Still unable to dreamwalk, I manually go into the dreamgrove portal and it doesn't work.

Finally I try relogging at this point, and the questgiver appears along with the portal working again. Should I have tried that sooner? Probably, but hopefully this helps in case anyone else had as much trouble as I did.

2025 AND YOU STILL CAN'T USE YOUR DREAMWALK ABILITY TO GO TO EMERALD DREAMWAY. LOVE YOU BLIZZARD...

1. You're probably still in the scenario using your DreamWalk ability but nothing happens. If you've already tried to exit using a Heartstone, go back to re-enter this scenario. (Skip step 1 if you're still there.)

2. Stuck in the scenario without being able to use DreamWalk, you'll have to EXIT THE AREA, just follow the path until it disappears. Doing so will finally allow you to use DreamWalk.

3. Make sure there are no hostile NPS nearby, or they might cancel your ability and you'll have to replay the scenario (reset instances).

4. When you reach Emerald Dreamway, go to the main portal in front of you (ignore the quest on your map, as it's wrong).

5. Inside the Emerald Dream, go to the cords: 31.21, 5.09 and you will finally be able to finish this goddamn mission.

whatever you do, if you can't use dreamwalk. do not walk off the edge thinking you can leave. I am now trapped and cant use any portals, any abilities or anything. I am quite literally stuck in an empty version of legion. No quests are loading. No NPCS and no players.

I don't even know what to do at this point

Remix. After completing this quest, portals (to the Emerald Dreamway, Dalaran, Hearthstone, Scroll of Nostvin, Dreamgrove Portal, Raid Portal, Summon, automatic teleportation after leaving a raid group, etc.) stopped working. After relogging, I can only use the teleport once, and then I have to relog again. There are several posts about this on the US forum. We're waiting for a fix.

If you get stuck and phased out in Lemix and can't even enter portals etc. Try to join a grp or raid and leave, i got phased back when i left a grp.

End the scenario in Lemix and can't "get out"? I took the flightmaster to Nordrassil where I was able to use Dreamwalk.

In Legion Remix it's very easy to get your character stuck in a bad state by falling off the mountain/somehow otherwise exit the scenario, leaving yourself no longer able to hearthstone, teleport, use portals etc.
If you complete this quest it appears you are locked into this state until Blizzard can hotfix this, if you abandon this quest it is recoverable.

UPDATE (November 10th): This now has a workaround from Blizzard including those who have completed this quest:

There is a workaround that you can use to get yourself back into the correct phasing for Legion Remix:
Group with a low level player that. Then head to the Bazaar and once there startt party sync.
This will then phase you back to the correct layer and everything will work once again.

This could be done with a friend, or you can do it solo via party sync with a second WoW starter account.

Original fix that only applies to players who have not handed it in:

If you are broken and have not yet completed the scenario and can abandon the quest, abandon it. This will NOT work if your character has already completed this quest unfortunately, please fix Blizz!

With the quest abandoned I did these steps in this specific order and got myself unstuck:

After abandoning, the quest log says this is continued by picking it up in Hyjal but this is wrong!
Pick up this quest from Thisalee Crow in the middle of the Dreamgrove. Use Dreamwalk to return to her. If nothing happens when you cast Dreamwalk, log out and back in and the first usage will work. Once inside the Emerald Dreamway, you will need to log out and back in again before you can use the Dreamgrove portal.
With this quest picked up, travel from the Dreamgrove into the Emerald Dreamway portal, log out and back in to make the portal work for you.
Inside the Emerald Dreamway, log out and back in again to make the Hyjal portal usable.
In Hyjal, manually fly south west to the Shrine of Aviana (ignore the timeline warnings), fly into the inn where you can insta-logout beside the mailbox.
In the Shrine of Aviana inn, log out and back in to spawn the scenario.
Walk back to the Shrine of Aviana inn after getting teleported away on login, and you can speak to the character to start the first stage.
After completing the scenario you will need to return to the Dreamgrove.
Do NOT use any personal teleport, your hearthstone, or jump off the side of the mountain.
Speak to Dinorae Swiftfeather, the flightmaster, and fly back to Nordrassil.
Walk back through the Emerald Dreamway portal, returning to the Dreamgrove to hand in the quest.

After abandoning, picking it up again, manually walking back, and not jumping off the mountain, my character was no longer in a bad state and I was able to play again without any issues teleporting, the follower respawning etc.

IF YOU DO THIS ON REMIX, DO NOT JUMP OFF THE EDGE TO LEAVE THE SCENARIO - YOU WILL GET THE WORST GLITCH IN THE WORLD

follow the steps above on how to do this quest, i do not know how to fix it once glitched but i cannot use ANY portals/teleports even after i abandoned the quest, including voucher, hearthstone, or anything - i have to basically spam log in/out to constantly reset it - will update below if i can find a work around, but atm my character is bugged to hell

IF YOU JUMPED OFF AND ABANDONED THE QUEST THEN RETOOK IT:

Part 1 - How to get back

Step 1. I BROKE THE GAME - log in/out as many times as u need to in order to get to the Dreamgrove in Val'sharah
Step 2. Fly to Dalaran - log in/out until you see the Portal to Stormwind
Step 3. Fly to the Eastern Earthshrine in Stormwind, and take the portal to Mount Hyjal
Step 4. Fly to Shrine of Aviana - it will say you are leaving the timeline blah blah blah, ignore it and land
Step 5. Re-do quest as normal

- DO NOT LEAVE WITH A HEARTHSTONE OR ANYTHING ELSE - U WILL END UP STUCK AT PART 1 AGAIN

Part 2 - How to leave

Step 1. Talk to Flight Master and fly to Nordrassil
Step 2. Use Dreamwalk
Step 3. Go through the portal to the Dreamgrove
Step 4. The pathway starts at 33.29, 19.51
Step 5. Continue as normal

Solution if the chain has already been completed and the character is broken: Ask a friend or create a second account within the same account (Google how), create a new character on the remix on the same character, invite their buggy main, enable sync on the new character (or ask a friend if the character is theirs), and the main character accepts it. After that, leave the group with your main character. That's it, the portals are working again!

Cannot enter the Dreamgrove after using the teleport out of the scenario. It will not let me through. This is on Legion Remix.

EDIT: I am trapped within the Dreamway. I can't hearth out and none of the other portals work. Good %^&*ing job, Blizzard.

My Experience with the Quest in LEGION REMIX:
1. If you accepted the quest and got stuck after using the portal to the Class Hall, abandon the quest and take it again.

2. If you just accepted the quest, what I did was complete the quest as usual, but instead of using the TP (teleport) to the Class Hall, I used a 'Nostwing Voucher' and flew from Dalaran to the Class Hall to the exact spot where the quest is turned in.

3. It is very likely that the same thing will happen to you (I couldn't see any NPCs), but after a long wait and 4-5 disconnects caused by the game, on the 5th relog/reconnect, the NPCs finally appeared for me to turn in the quest.

Recommendation:
I recommend that after finishing the scenario, you don't use your TP (teleport) to the Class Hall. Instead, try using the Nostwing Voucher (or a Dalaran Hearthstone) and fly to the quest turn-in point. Wait a while, and if the game doesn't disconnect you, try to force a relog yourself every 5 minutes by closing and reopening the game until the NPCs appear and turn in the mission

I hadn't seen these comments. I used Dreamwalk to return to Thisalee at The Dreamgrove and couldn't get through the portal. I logged out of the game and logged back in and that worked.

None on the tips on here working for me in Remix (tried logging out, resetting all instances, /reload ui, abandoning quest and then doing it over). I couldnt use any portals or hearthstones. What did work was to open up a ticket with customer support to get me unstuck.

Description

The situation is dire. The Legion is attacking the Shrine of Aviana in Hyjal, AGAIN! They must be after something specific, but I'm not sure what. Us Druids of the Talon are skilled scouts and infiltrators, but are lacking in... durability. They won't be able to hold out for long! We must go to help!
