Defending Shal'aran is located in Suramar on the Broken Isles approximately 150 yards up the hill West of the Meredil Ancient Cloudwing Flight Master. Approximate coordinate waypoint is /way 31, 54

You'll need to defeat 12 Duskwatch Forces and 1 Duskrider Silaryn.

These mobs hit pretty hard, so be prepared for a fight and when this world quest is busy and especially if the opposing faction is dominating this quest, it can be very frustrating to try and get a first hit in.

Normally this is not an issue, but Duskrider Silaryn is not cross faction, so you may be fighting it out with the opposing faction to get the first hit in... Also, when it is busy, she can die super quick, so make sure to try and get a hit in as quick as possible.

If it is busy and you've most likely defeated the 12 Duskwatch Forces some time ago and now waiting to get a hit in on Duskrider Silaryn, all I can suggest is creating a macro that targets Duskrider Silaryn and then puts a hit in.

Once you've created the macro place it on your abilities bar and when your ready, spam the macro until she appears and you've got your hit in, then follow your normal damage rotation.

A macro something like the one below may help. This example macro is for a Fury Warrior, that will target Duskrider Silaryn and hit her with the Heroic Throw ability from 8 to 30 yards away...

So if your using another class of character, simply replace the /cast Heroic Throw line with one of your characters instant damage Spellbook abilities that you use, such as /cast Whirlwind etc.. You need to type the ability name as it is written in the Spellbook.

Also, if your not using TomTom coordinates, just remove the first line that includes /way.

The way the Duskwatch Felblade stop every 10 seconds and wave their blades around makes me feel Iess like defeating an attack force and more like interrupting an innocent bystander's Yoga lessons.

Seriously. As long as you keep even the slightest distance they're more amusing than threatening.

If you're encountering phasing problems, it's because you need to complete the quest line that opens up Sha'Aran (The Nightfallen faction).

The Quest line starts in Dalaran with Khadgar's Discovery which is the Suramar starter quest and ends with Shal'Aran

With Continued Exposure up, I thought I could use the withered (and Angus Stormbrew) to make short work of Duskrider Silaryn. I had to back up to the cliff so I was in Felsoul Hold territory to summon the four, and I did take Silaryn down fast, but as I was not in the questing area, the kill didn't count and I had to kill him again.

Yay. Whenever Defending Shal'aran and Felslate Basilisks overlaps each other, attempting to start with either phases all mobs away. This is a very irritating bug. The best one can do is to stand outside and cast pull the mobs to you until the WQs is completed.
