There is no direct follow-up, but you need to complete this in addition to Preparations for Invasion to get to the next step in the campaign. The chain after these quests begins with Deadlier Warglaives and A Very Special Kind of Fuel.

The requirement to this was lowered to only 20 World Quests with 7.1

The quest text says 20 world quests, but now only requires 10 world quests completed.

8.0.1 : Only 10 to do now, and you can do BFA World Quest :)

Shadowlands world quests (WQs) also count! Not just BFA world quests. :3

That said, as of 9.0, Shadowlands WQs are very dangerous and take far longer. Unless there is a meaningful reward like a gear upgrade (instead of currencies like Reservoir Anima expected to become much easier to earn in the future), it would be far faster for Level 60's to complete WQs in the old expansions.

If you've leveled past this content, and you're going back to get the class gear for xmog, the Legion WQs might not count... I couldn't even start them at level 51.
I went to BFA and nocked the required number out in under an hour.

Description

Before I became a demon hunter, I practiced the arcane arts. I still retain some of that knowledge, though the fel makes it all but impossible to use. One thing I can still manage is the occasional glimpse into faraway places. You've seen me use the nether crucible to do this. I'm afraid that things don't look too good. The forces that are arrayed against us are not limited to the Burning Legion. You must act quickly to keep the Broken Isles from being overwhelmed.
