This quest is Bugged I done it 3 times and got You receive loot: in chat and cannot complete quest says still missing the head. Nice one Blizz this is a class hall quest.

Even though you get a message stating you are receiving Zoarg's head, it doesn't show in your inventory. You might think this quest is bugged if you try to hand it back in to Beastmaster Hilaire. It is not bugged. You need to talk to Archmage Landon as stated in the quest and then hand it in.

At level 103 two Champion questlines are available:

1. Recruiting Rexxar, Survival Skills & Survive the Night, which give Champion: Rexxar that grants the Champion follower Rexxar.

2. Calling Hilaire Home and Bite of the Beast, which gives Champion: Beastmaster Hilaire that grants the Champion follower Beastmaster Hilaire.

To unlock these, you'll first need to complete a seemingly unrelated short quest chain in Val'sharah, offered by Emmarel Shadewarden at Trueshot Lodge at 41.7 59.99 who gives you the breadcrumb: Lending a Hand. Turn this in to Hudson Crawford and do Rising Troubles and Assassin Entrapment. At this point, Snowfeather should appear beside Hudson Crawford and offer you Urgent Summons.

Note that Snowfeather didn't appear for me until I'd obtained all three artefact weapons.

Rexxar is in Highmountain at Cliff's Edge, which is 200 yards NW of The Witchwood flight point at 36.73 35.39. For those without coordinates, that's on the first E of Edge on the map. Hints: You only need one piece of wood per quest to light the fire, berries aren't necessary, you only need four pieces of cooked meat to survive "overnight".

Beastmaster Hilaire is Stormheim, just North of Weeping Bluffs, about 300 yards North of the nearest flight path at Skyfire Triage Camp. Hint: Deliver Zoarg's Head to Archmage Landon, as Beastmaster Hilaire really doesn't want it!

Turn the head in at 30.2, 40.6 then go to beastmaster Hilaire at 34.7,41.7 to complete quest and she'll become a follower.

If your graphics have to be at the lowest setting, you will NOT see the blood.

The quest marker is towards the northeast and sloping down, a cave entrance set in one of the cliff sides. The way down is partially arched by a large animal ribcage. Keep to right following the wall and you'll stumble across Felscale Cavern.

11/16/2025 - Quest seems to be bugged. I've reloaded, relogged and disabled addons. When defeating Zoarg, it counts on quest steps; however, when you loot his head, it does not go into inventory.

Description

I will not leave my post without Cora. A group of mages have her caged up like a beast, threatening to put her down. They claim she's responsible for the death of one of their own, but I refuse to believe that. Cora is a loyal and obedient companion; she would never attack without my command. I tracked the demon that was truly responsible to this location, but it put up quite a fight before getting away. My injuries prevented me from giving chase, but I am sure that beast has left a bloody trail.
