Just in case you came here looking to where you get the Chamber Key Fragment just go to a digsite and you should be able to find them. I got all 5 at 1 digsite in suramar.

Not sure if something changed, but the quest is showing me the requirements as:

0/5 Restored Artifact
0/5 Chamber Key Fragment

Geez, at the rate it takes to complete Demonic artifacts I'm wondering if it might be more worth your while to go back to past content and get your restored artifacts there. I got my five key fragments before I even completed one 170-fragment Houndstooth Hauberk find, and the Demonic digsites here really like to make you go out of your way to get to them.

A couple of observations:

The drop rate of the Chamber Key Fragment is quite high; I got all 5 in my first digsite.

I can confirm that the Restored Artifact can come from any source at all, including previously-completed ones in your bank, quest rewards from completing pristine artifacts, and other archeology races. If you have 5 of these in your inventory, this part of the quest automatically completes.

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to reach Brann, just jump off Dalaran with a Goblin Glider Kit or similar device and aim in his direction, you will land almost exactly at his camp :)

Overall, this is one of the easier/less painful fortnightly archeology quests to complete, and takes very little time to complete. Happy digging!

Don't log out if you're working on this. Today, 5 Jan 2017, I got 5/6 then logged for dinner. When I came back, my progress was reset to zero. These arch quests don't seem to have been tested very well, have had issues with half of them. Opened a ticket and GM told me to submit a bug report but did not restore progress.

Edit - progress reset a second time when I zoned into an LFR. Do this quest all in one go!

Edit - I am not smart. The reason my progress was resetting was because I was turning in the restored artifacts to get fragments. I didn't realize the "restored artifacts" required for the quest were the boxes you got - I assumed they were a separate, independent quest item. Don't be like me.

It gives you around 50 Obliterum ashes and 3 Obliterums.

Completely useless since crafted gear is very bad.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Intervencion##DELIM##Chill please :) Removed swearing.

Something that may be obvious but I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is that Brann will in fact take the Restored Artifacts. For people redoing this quest you may want to think twice doing this if you still have old Archaeology solves to collect. Basically you trade five Restored Artifact for 3.5 Obliterum (on most servers about 3.5k). I did it now to test it but I'm not sure if I'll do this quest the next time it comes around.

Don't be dumb like me and use your restored artifacts to buy fragments before you turn this quest in. I had a pristine artifact pop up, so I headed to the archaeology shop to turn it in, got credit for Brann's quest, so I went to buy fragments...and it reset my 0/5 artifacts lol.

If you get this while out farming fragments to make crates, consider skipping it altogether. If you're not trying to get achievements like Surveying the Land, this just winds up being a waste of crates (which are probably more valuable to you unless you REALLY want those achieves). It ultimately ends with you getting Blood of Young Mannoroth which, apart from the achieve, is just a grey item now (currently in patch 9.1.5). Again, waste of 5 crates (i.e. you don't get them back at the end) if you're trying to farm.

Description

I found a piece of what appears to be a key to something. I'm certain I can restore it if we can find the other bits.

After that, we need to figure out what it's a key to. An' I think I know how to do that.

I've been studying some of the artifacts I've found, and they seem to be pointing to a hidden chamber. I jes' need some more artifacts to study.
