I am extremely excited for this quest! Not only are sharks my favorite animal, but shark week happens to be my favorite week for television! Wicked pumped that there is a faction completely dedicated to fishing. Now this is definitely a win for Blizzard! :)

Everytime to get the quest item "Tresher Jaw", you have to use it in order to get the teeth. You can only get one "Tresher Jaw" at a time so that means you need to use it everytime you kill one.

When you kill a shark and get a shark jaw, you only get one. You have to remember to dismantle it for the teeth. Otherwise, you're going to kill a lot of sharks and wonder why it's taking so long.

Most boring quest of MoP. Sharks drop 20-30 teeth which means you have to kill at least 7 sharks. Even with Sea Turtle, this quest is absolutely boring. BTW, I've tried to kill 3 mobs at once but i could only loot one Jaw and after that other two mobs was not lootable.

The sharks tend to swim at the surface of the ocean rather than lower with the rest of the quest items/objectives.

Makes for a little bit o' frustration.

You know what makes people different from animals? We're the only species on Earth that observes Shark Week. Sharks don't even observe Shark Week!

As soon as you kill the first shark go to you bags and bring the quest item that you just looted (a set of jaws) to your action bar, then use it. Everytime you kill another shark and loot it, it will show up on you action bar to use.

I'm still trying to figure out how a shark can parry.
Fin vs blade...........hmmm. My money is on the blade

As said before, this quest is most likely a reference to the week-long shark documentary event held annually by the Discovery Channel. :)

While on this quest, be aware that Master of Puppets will put the shark jaws on CD, for the duration of the Master of Puppets cooldown.

Thresher Jaw drops from Longfin Thresher. Use the item and you will extract the teeth.

WARNING: do not remove any Thresher Jaw you have left over after collecting the necessary 200 teeth... it will cause the quest Shark Week to be abandoned!

As of patch 5.2.0 you can loot multiple Thresher Jaws now. But beware, if you have excess jaws, don't throw them away until you return the quest to the NPC, otherwise this will abandon the quest and remove all the teeth you've already collected. Blizzard is funny like that.

Shark Week

Collect 200 Thresher Teeth by pulling them from the jaws of Longfin Threshers on the Shelf of Mazu.

Description

Crabbing is our big money-maker, but we send all kinds of goods back around the wall. Oils, plants, even rare minerals - the sea's bounty is rich out here!

Right now the big craze in the markets back home is thresher teeth. Apparently they make great necklaces?

Threshers are all over the Shelf of Mazu to the west. Bring me lots of teeth!
