Kz'Kzik patrols the road and is easy to notice. Ilikkaxx appears inside of an enclosed area at 51,21. He has a knockback.

Ilikkax also has an interrupt/silence, in addition to the previously mentioned knockback.

Needless to say, he's not going to be getting a Christmas card from me this year.

Also be warned that the others that are in close proximity will agro, that agro will cascade to other units further out and they will beat you down.

Fortunately the area just towards the edge of the zone, outside the circle of black spires, has very little in the way anything wandering by so you should be able to pull and stomp without any outside interference.

As mentioned earlier the interrupt/knock-back can be troublesome but timing and some luck can counter that.

this quest can be a huge pain. i killed the first guy with no problem, but as i was killing the other one and getting knocked back into countless other mobs and getting pounded on, the first guy respawned and went at me too. i ran for my life spamming word of glory on myself and survived. but since i had to run i never looted my first dagger : /

I got Kz'kzik by standing in the little alcove at 54,21. It's far enough away from the other mobs that the bombs won't blow you there.

Illikkaxx, on the other hand, was a bloody pain in the ass. It wasn't so much the Resonators as much as it was the herd of Frightened Mushan he kept knocking me into. I know they're frightened. I would be too if I lived there. But D.E.H.T.A. be damned--I ended up taking out a huge swath of them (don't loot bc they respawn fast) and then picking off the prowling Resonators.

Get one of the ones hovering in his area first and then kite him from that spot; the Resonator on the other side won't aggro that way. You slaughtered the mushan, so just let him knock you back into the Horrid March all he likes. Bwah ha ha.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REVEAL IS:

What are the annoying prequests before you are able to do this annoying quest?

Lya of Ten Songs ain't give the Rending Daggers quest and I'm certainly not the only one with this problem.

Also i'm certainly not the only one who think that farming an item, only available by doing these quests, is annoying. In fact these quest are annoying, a total waste of time.

But I need a pair of gloves. It's a reward when you finish the quest Rending Daggers.

So please answer if you know what are the prequests, even if these quests are totally an annoying pain.

Description

Forget about them, and forget their BREW. We've got real work to do.

The scroll mentions "rending daggers of the great ones". I've got a feeling I know where to find them.

A pair of mantid lieutenants patrol the Horrid March, to the south. Each one carries a ceremonial dagger.

Bring those daggers back here, <name>. We may be on the brink of something big.
