You have to put your back against the wall and try not to let him get at an angle that throws you off the mountain.

You do NOT want to die doing this quest!

Unless there was a path I missed...I ran around and around the cliff several times trying to retrieve my corpse before giving it up for lost and spirit-rezzing. So make sure to keep your back to the wall behind the boss, and have abilities such a pally bubble, slow fall and levitate ready.

First thing; Have your back to the mountain every time he is going to kick you away. If you can do that, this fight will go well. Cords 30,46

You can do this quest with people outside of your group. I found him at half heath with a shadow priest & a hunter, and still got credit for helping kill him.

Was absolutely not prepared for this the first time I did it, and went flying off the mountain a couple of times. Tried coaxing him down the mountain...doesn't work.
You have to fight him on the mountain.
Stand against the mountain as mentioned earlier, but try to stay directly in front of him. He'll still throw you somewhat to the side, but not far, if you're as close as possible square in the middle of him.

And note to self: do not stay standing there typing on wowhead, thinking he won't re-spawn for a bit. He re-spawns almost instantaneously and will un-ceremoneously boot you off the mountain while you're sharing your new found tactic. (not sure how I came to know that little pearl of wisdom xD)

um.. THE ENTIRETY OF THIS QUEST HAPPENS IN VALLEY OF THE FOUR WINDS

REALLY? THEN EXPLAIN HOW THE HECK YOU EVEN GET TO THE BOSS, CUZ I AM FED UP OF RUNNING AROUND THE MOUNTAIN LOOKING FOR A WAY UP FOR THIS QUEST AND THE ROPE BURNING.

I noticed on my mage that any time he respawned he would have another name. One time he'd have Jokka-Jokka, the next it would be Jim-Jim.

Yet another Bronx Cheer from the designers. If you get booted off the mountain, particularly as a squishy, you will die (without and potions up) and of course the death will erase any of those expensive potions you just bought. The GY is three time zones and an armed checkpoint away, so it shouldn't take you more than the standard 45-minute lunch hour to get back to your corpse. But at least the reward is worth it. 19 Gold, 34 Silver, 50 Copper, 5 Valor Points and 1 Lesser Charm of Good Fortune. Right. Me neither.

Skip this time-waster unless you need it for a quest achievement.

The only way I know to do this successfully is to pull him up to the area directly behind him, and fight him there. I faced my toon just so, and when he threw me, I landed on the same level.

Sucks to be him.

The trick here is to keep well away from the rock wall. His attack will throw you a certain distance, and if you hit the wall first you will continue travelling sideways.

This is how I do it.

Start by standing at the lower end of the grassy outcrop and attack him up hill
As soon as you get the warning message, run through him and stop well short of the cliff face, at about where the yellow flower patch starts, and directly between him and the centre of the rock wall
If you got it right, you will land just at the base of the cliff, and won't be thrown sideways
Run through him again, half-way down the outcrop, turn and start fighting up hill again
Repeat

This is quite difficult to get the hang of, especially if you're not well-geared and have to keep healing at the same time, but it's okay when you get the hang of it and it does work. You can stun him (Mighty Bash on my balance druid) to get a few extra seconds healing.

There's something I'm missing with this guy.
When I was 'wet behind the ears' 90 long ago I had no problem taking him down. But now, all geared up & fancy weapon he has become a real pain in the butt.

I have a suspicion that Blizz have done a sneaky upgrade to his 'hit' so that it is far harder than about a year or so go.
That said you can nullify the effects of his 'toss' by attacking him on the upper level (above the rock wall), so that you can't get thrown off the mountain. However, this is still one of the worst quests around, & I can understand why some don't bother with it.

Just trie not to fall off when he casts ''forefull throw''. My first time i didnt know so he knocked me of the cliff but luckily i am an engineer so i used my cloak as a parachute. But althought i didnt die i was really mad cause i ended up at stormstout brewery

Just started playing again after a long break from the game I'm not sure if this was nerfed since the prior comments as it was pretty easy. On my warrior, I stood on the ledge above him and used shattering throw to aggro him.. He ran up to attack me and as soon as I got the alert I ran though him, jumped down to the level he started on and wasn't thrown at all. After that a few swings and he was dead.

As of patch 9.0 the quest for him, and the other hozen up there, is a level 15 quest. A quest you can get long before you can fly. Does anyone know how to get up there as a low level? I can't find any way.

How to get to Skyrange (or any area where flight seems to be required) without flight

Now that the Skyrange quests are only level 15 you might be wondering how to get your lowbie up there:

Get your toon somewhat near your goal location and near a quick death (from mobs or a fall).
Queue for both dungeons AND battlegrounds.
Let your toon die.
Fly your ghost toward Skyrange.
If a queue pops before you get there, let it hang until it expires.
Once you've reached your goal location, accept a queue pop.
Either play out your dungeon/BG or just quit it (gives you debuff and maybe irks others though).
Either way, you'll materialize alive and right where you wanted to be.

Description

From what I've gathered, the Kunzen hozen have two chiefs. One is harmless - he deals with potions, medicines, and ancient fables. The other one is in charge of the Kunzen's hunters - and the only thing they've been hunting lately is our crops.

The Hunter-Chief is a problem waiting to be solved. I'm sure the local farmers would be grateful if you went up there and, you know, "took care" of him.
