If you're a clothie, better watch out. These guys seem to like to travel in small packs (3-4 mobs) and can get you easily killed. Kiting these mobs is nearly impossible without aggroing multiple other mobs.

I know high kill count quests are common in Pandaria, but 14 mobs is just ridiculous. At least they seem to go down a bit faster than most others of the same level.

To make killing these a lot easier, drag them to the Shado-Pan guards nearby after tagging them and they will help you make light work of them.

I guess Nal'lak the Ripper isn't considered a mantid. Just killed him while doing this quest and he didn't help progress the quest. Who would have guessed.

Note that killing the Ik'thik Slicewing, at least near Wei Blacksoil, don't count. I killed 15 of them trying to talk to him and didn't get credit for any of them.

Description

I'm not from here. I've never even BEEN here before today. But even I can tell you that something's wrong.

That wall over there was built to keep mantid off of pandaren lands. Now, the mantid are sending their winged scouts over the top, as if the wall wasn't even there!

The only reason those spindly scouts aren't dying is because they're attacking farmers, not soldiers. They wouldn't stand a chance against someone like you.
