According to players who have completed this quest you just need to be around her when she is defeated to get credit.

As of this writing, in the beta she bugs out. Works once after a restart/reset and then does nothing. Sounds like the "bunny"* used to control this fight doesn't reset properly.

*WoW links events, triggers, etc. to invisible critters, usually unkillable now*. Normally called "bunnies".

** Horde used to have fun causing chaos in Stormwind in early Vanilla by sneaking under Stormwind and killing all of Stormwind's "bunnies".

As of current build (25/04/12) she is working again, you may stuggle staying online long enough to get to her however ;)

The quest NPC can be triggered and moved along before you read her dialog. Talking directly to her is not a pre-requisite, you can complete quest if you just follow her pathing. She has about 60 second respawn time from the time she is killed until respawning in hut.

Dialog is as follows.
---
Well well, a young visitor.

Have you come to pay your respects at the shrine of my husband? He was a hero you know. A master of Jade crafting and fighting. He was to be remembered forever they said.

Do you like my statues? I craft them with special care saving only the best to provide my husband company and protection.
---
(Dialog option: Where is Shin?)
(triggers spoken speech and pathing)
I believe I heard some young whipper snapper in my garden out back. Let's go look for him.
----
(Widow Greenpaw exits house and walks around the right side of house. She stops at statue Shin, which is near center statue, Master Greenpaw.)

Ah, here is the boy. Doesn't he look special? My late husband and I always wanted children.
You should join our family, preserved forever in jade.
(combat starts.)
(partway through, summons a cat and says "Here kitty kitty.)
(Upon defeat, all the jade statues from front of house are turned back to normal, and appear in a circle around fight location.)

Yay! Shin! You're alive!
Thank you so much (charactername)! If you find me in Dawn's Blossom later I'll give you one of the things we stashed from our adventures.

Yeah...on lvl 90 I was just looking there. What I found? Statue called something like "Jade Warrior" turned into jade. he was shining like a quest object...I clicked at him, and there was an option "take item he is holding". Took it, earned achiv "Lost and Found". A blue sword "Jade Infused Blade". Maybe not so spectacular, but..woah. Bound to account.

I actualy feel kinda sorry for her in the end she's only acting out this way due to that her husband died before they could have children.

It looks like this quest is only for Alliance players, which is strange since her first non-Pandarian victim is a horde. Unless there's another way for horde to get it.

I just completed this and did not get the jade raccoon. :C

I think the jade raccoon is supposed to be Socks from the earlier quest.
