Quest is a reference to Star Wars - Episode Five - The Empire Strikes Back. Luke is caught by a Wampa and wakes in a cave hanging upside down. Also Echo Three was the callsign of Luke Skywalker while acting as a scout prior to the Battle of Hoth.

Was there supposed to be a quest after this? I think I might have not gotten the quest to kill the yetti due to a glitch. I was shapeshifted into a iron dwarf at the time and it might have screwed with the quest progression.

Echo Three is a box that is sitting right outside the yeti cave. When you interact with the box, it teleports you into the depths of the cave. You will be hanging upside down in a chunk of ice. A "raid warning" will appear telling you to chop the ice to free yourself. When you do, you drop to the floor and there is a huge yeti named Icewhomp who you have to kill.

I did this quest on my warlock, and when I freed myself from teh ice, my pet was gone and I had to resummon (don't know if other pet classes have the same issue).

After killing Icewhomp, don't dawdle in the center of the room, because he respawns very quickly.

I am stuck on 59/60 quests in Winterspring and think maybe I did Echo3 before getting the Perfect horns quest and as I cant do the Yetiphobia as I aready have a mechanical yeti I am stuck in a loop

All the yetis drop runecloths too... 2 at a time... So the runecloth quest with Timbermaws can be checked off too just killing a bunch of them!

Loved the 'blackout' sequence. :) WIll never look at Icewhomp the same way again.

This bugged for me, too, though differently.

I turned in the Echo Three quest, and it told me something was approaching. Well, that yeti ambusher appeared, was unattackable by me (which I guess it is supposed to be) but then nothing at all happened until the ambusher suddenly just dropped dead without teleporting me in. Because this is triggered by turning in the quest, I can't abandon and retry.

K people don't be like me if you were doing the quest to kill Grolnar the Berserker, the echo three quest is not in the same cave dispite the blue area makes it look like it is. That is because Ice thistle hills is just on the other side of that small cave. Just run around to the right side of that small furbolg camp and run until you see yetis. The cave will be uptop having the same kind of blue cave markings.

When you turn in the quest Echo Three (given by Umi Rumplesnicker in Winterspring) to Echo Three, you'll be ambushed (Yeti Ambush) by a Ice Thistle Ambusher. You'll wake up in the Ice Thistle Hills cave, dangling from this Icicle. Just damage it to break loose.

Description

A lot of goblins have been going missing out there in Ice Thistle Hills. I was almost one of them!

I had the idea to set up a sensor to tell us when the yeti were getting close to Everlook. Of course, it's not working either. There's yeti all over the hills and I haven't heard a peep from it.

Would you mind checking on it for me? It might still be fixable. Echo Three's set up to the southeast on the edge of Ice Thistle Hills. Don't ask what happened to Echo One and Two.
