Magma Elementals and Inferno Elementals just north / northwest of Blackrock Mountain. Target and use the Furnace Flask.

Action can be repeated on same elemental until you have 10/10. I believe there is a 1 second CD, so clicky clicky until you complete.

If you look up the elemental Rasha'krak from a previous quest, you can spam the bottle on him 10 times without changing target!

Note that if you see the mobs shrink, but you get no progress, you need to make some bag space for the quest item that is made when you use the item. Then you need to get another mob.

This quest is pretty simple. First, tag one of the elementals that are valid for this quest, and make it reset. Either walk far away, or use an ability like feign death. After the mob has reset, you can take as many of the quest items as you want from that single mob!

Great, just got here after spending about 25 minutes trying to kill and fill a flask from the right elemental just to find out that it has to be alive.

If you are doing this quest for Loremaster or any other reason and at are a high level (ie100) it appears to be impossible to complete under normal circumstances. I took off all gear and tried punching the elementals to bring their health down, but unfortunately one punch was enough to kill them. I then tried using EZ-Thro Dynamite II for non engineers since the description said it only did about 234 fire damage. For whatever reason, it hit for about 10K and still killed the elementals with one hit. I then tried EZ-Thro Dynamite I for non engineers, and it worked, but only on the MAGMA elementals, not the infernals. The MAGMAS have about 2497 health so they survived most of the time and I was able to tag them, but only once and not multiple times as the earlier posts state. The infernals (1900 health approx) died instantly. The downside is the dynamite has a one minute CD. Better options might be to partner or group with a lower level character in that zone and then either pay them some gold or help them with one or two of their quests in return. If you are doing the Lunk spider riding quest in that area, just hang near the spiders when another player is killing them and Lunk will jump on and you'll get credit. I'm not sure what that does to the other players loot drop, but if it does have a negative effect, conceivably you could pay them some gold to make up for it.

You might think that everyone's just leveling up doing dungeon after dungeon, but no. In my realm thi quest is impossible because it seems the whole Horde and Alliance just got together to fill up the flasks!

Heat That Just Don't Quit

Obtain 10 Filled Furnace Flasks. You must use the Furnace Flasks on living elementals within Searing Gorge.

Description

We smith, we smelt, we roast up whatever spider meat we can get. Bush chicken if we're lucky. Point is, all o' this work means we need lots and lots of fire.

Good thing we're smack dab in the middle of firetown.

O' course, the best fire comes from the elementals. You'll find 'em all over Searing Gorge, but always near lava. Here, take these flasks and use 'em on the elementals.

Oh, did I mention the elementals gotta be alive when you gather your sample?
