This quest is one of the few quests that might infuriate you. If there are 2 or more people attempting it, be sure that you have to spend more time there than expected.

The dock workers walk around and work randomly on the docks and up to the east of the docks. You can see a gear when you hover over them.

Don't be thrown off by the 'Dockhand' NPC's, you need to find 'Stormwind Dock Worker'. They have the regular human male model, not the peasant model that the dockhands have.

Make sure you take the Prince with you as when you get all six Dock Workers you turn in the quest to him.

You can "raid mark" the Prince, makes it easier to keep an eye out on yours.

if you lose your Prince, after completing the quest, he goes back to the Keep. Just speak to him there and the question mark to turn the quest in will appear over him.

Just wanted to add that you can do this quest while mounted, and I found it rather amusing that my cast bar read "Grilling" after clicking on a Dock Worker heh.

This is an odd one. I found one dock worker almost right away as like mentioned above when I mouse over, I get the gear and his title including "dock worker" appears. When I click on him 3 "glowing or radiating" marks appear above him. I had to click on him 2 or three times before he responds. The first one I interrogated denied knowledge and it didn't count. Then I looked all over the docks, high & low - no more dock workers. I went back to the first dock worker (who later became the second), waited a while for a respawn and got my first guy. There were no other players around that I could see. the prince has been dutifuly following me around. I came here to see if what I'm experiencing is common. still not sure.

Update: I exited went back on and there were dock workers all over the place and I was able to add 3 more. but as I went to get the fourth he faded out along with everyone else, but the guards. very twilight zonesque. and tedious.

While you're in the Throne Room, grab Rallying the Fleet from the King (if you haven't completed it already), since you have to complete that and the follow-up of Missing Parts to be able to get additional quests in this chain.

If you're having a phasing issue with the workers, as others have reported, the quest to unlock the Vashj'ir zone (Call of Duty) can be picked up at the docks while you're down there.

Can check quest completion by running this macro (1/true is complete, 0/false is incomplete):

My investigations reveal, ah, it's likely that there's trouble brewing among the Stormwind dock workers. Shifty lot. Don't trust 'em.

You should go there and shake the place down. Start grilling those longshoremen. That should keep you busy.
