For those that aren't sure or don't know yet, the entire quest line has its own set of Pre-reqs. Slate Quicksand first appears near the Quaking Fields south of Needlerock. He will have a few simple quests that eventually lead to two multi-part series of quests on their own. When all of those are done, you are sent to Slate's new location, where this quest finally appears.

Be careful around the Stone Trog Funglemancers. Those groups of 3 will do a surprising amount of damage.

This may seem obvious for most people, but for the others like me who just rush the objectives without actually reading the quest; get the 1/1 Obtain a War Guardian first - it actually helps you out. I accidently did that in the wrong order ^^

Rush Delivery is one of the pre-req quest chains.

So annoying quest for a warrior, these troggs do not activate victory rush. Using your piercing howl and run away once you've turned down the mushroom is another option.

What sucks is that you do not get any XP when killing the troggs. Did anyone else get XP when killing these?

A Druid in flight form can click the Giant Mushrooms without aggroing the Trolls below

The War Guardian obeys the attack command. I also dragged it around while collecting herbs. It also runs reeeelly fast if you fly low on your way back to Slate Quicksand.

Just because no one mentioned it, the war guardian is right next to Slate Quicksand. You can grab one after you've done the quest - no need to abandon and restart if you forget.

Worst quest ever for a priest as I see it. Be really careful and have a full mana-bar when going for the mushrooms, I probably died four out of five times there and those dies was the first ones in cata.

Quick way to get the shrooms down without aggroing the troggs: use any non-aggro CC on nearest trogg (sheep, sap, frost trap, hex, etc), go click the shroom, stay out of aggro range of the other 2, profit.

Interact with and gain a War Guardian, and destroy 5 Giant Mushrooms.

Description

The stone trogg mystics are creating those fungal monstrosities from the giant mushrooms to the north.

I want you to take a war guardian to help deal with the giants and stone troggs. Make your way to the giant mushrooms and target them. I and my geomancers will sink them into the ground before the mystics have a chance to finish their ritual.
