every time I go and kill the troggs all the time a elite mob comes up nad kills me all the time can someoen help me?

Just level'd a Female Gnome Warrior through this. Brutal, One death upon encountering and trying to slay, another death to get further in and one more death to get out. 3 death total. Not possible to level a gnome thru here without dying unless you're loomd, I was on a new server so no looms.

This one is a little ridiculous. Between the extreeeemely short trogg respawn times and the wandering level 6, this is one of the few quests I would actually like to see getting nerfed. That being said, the strategy i used was to work my way back into the cave as far as i could (while the wandering Great Father guy is near the back), then when he inevitably came along and spanked me, ran back and res'd after he'd wandered further to the front of the cave. Killed the boss, popped the explosives, and repeated the process on the way out.
Note: Great Father Arctikus is no longer Elite, but is definitely still a pain.

If you are a rogue then should not have any problems using stealth.

I just completed this quest with my Lvl 5 Gnomish Warlock, and I did not die at all in the cave.

Also, I think that the result of this quest where you blow up the cave is also why you must take a Gyro in Follow that Gyro-Copter! because the explosion was probably that big.

A word of advice on this quest...

Since Cataclysm came and broke the game, there is a Level 6 rare called "Great Father Arctikus" which appears to have been left in the cave. Although he is now level 6, it is still too high a level for the starting gnome area.

He is also heavily glitched. Do a /targetexact Great Father Arctikus while in the cave, and 90% of the time you will target him because he is stuck inside the cave walls/floors/ceilings. It appears that his pathing was never updated with the cave changes. To make matters worse, he'll frequently blink out of existence as his pathing is bugged, sometimes even temporarily appearing in a hut NW of Kharanos. Perhaps Blizzard wanted to move him there, but forgot to remove his path from the cave. That would be my best guess on this utter mess.

Unfortunately for us, the bugged mob has been present for 3+ years and, despite numerous bug reports, Blizzard has not bothered to fix it. They typically ignore bugs in new player areas and only focus on end game new content.

All I can advise here is to /targetexact the mob and just wait for it to be gone. Also, please, please, please open tickets, bug reports, suggestions, whatever with Blizzard on this and ask them to remove or fix this NPC. Perhaps if there are enough complaints it'll happen. I doubt it, but worth a try.

As of today, 10\16\2014 all enemies are level 3, saw no elite. Easy.

Finishin' the Job

At the bottom of the cave in Frostmane Hold, kill Boss Bruggor and activate the Detonator to detonate the trogg tunnels.

Description

My team has finished settin' up th' powder kegs and th' detonator at the bottom o' th' cave in th' western part of Frostmane Hold. All you need to do is venture down there and activate th' detonator to explode the powder and collapse those tunnels.

That'll stop th' flow of troggs from th' deep parts of th' earth. Mekkatorque'll have an easier time of dealin' with the remainin' troggs if you can take out their leader, who calls 'imself Boss Bruggor. Good luck, <name>.
