Use your Flameseer's Staff on the Blazebound Revenants...this will blow them up and spawn the smaller ones..as a Druid I just hurricane them down and move on to the next one :)
BTW this quest is NOT just for alliance rogues

Right now wowhead says the quest is for alliance paladins. This is obvioulsy wrong because as an undead warlock I could pick up the quest. I'd assume it's for both factions (Malfurion doesn't seem to be the type of guy that cares much for alliance/horde rivalry) and all classes.

The quest must be for both factions and all races as I am a horde shaman and was able to pick it up. Also I was looking all over for the Blazebound Revenants and could not find them. I eventually tried the Flameseer's Staff on the Blazebound Elementals at 48, 30 and it worked. Maybe during beta testing they were called Blazebound Revenants but as far as I could tell they are no longer called that.

Head down to 44,29. They are fighting, around the outside of 'The Circle of Cinders'. Look for 'Blazehound Revenants'

Neat hint for hunters...as soon as you break up the elites, lay down a snake trap. Between the snakes and your pet it makes for fast work of the little guys.

End of the Supply Line and Harrying the Hunters can be done by both factions, but "The Voice of..." followup requrement is different.
Goldrinn's Ferocity and Howling Mad allows other players to share you quests next on line, but Lycanthoth the Corruptor {H} will let you be in same phase as npc.
Into the Maw!{A2 ;H ;H2}. There are 2Alliance and 2Horde variants, for each faction one from wolf spirit and one backup from main quest guy in Shrine of Goldrinn.
Whole Firelands Forgeworks(8) chain doesn't have any pre-quests. You can get first time to Hyjal and ask warlock to summon you there and do the quests. However Lightning in a Bottle {H} is needed to use the standart teleport.

Couldn't find any Blazehound Revenants, but instead found they work on Blazehound Elementals.

Just wanted to clear up any confusion as I had.

Pro tip: pull aggro on the Blazebound Elementals before using the staff. That way, you'll be able to loot them when they die and maybe get some Volatile Fire. :)

I opened a ticket saying that I couldn't find any revanents and I love how sweetly they tell you how screwed up you are. My helper 'confirmed' that he could see the blazebound revenants and then sent the follow up survey!

I found mine by circling Baron Geddon (Under the C of Cinders, 43, 27)
Was looking for half an hour, done quest in 1 minute there :p

This is a confusing quest and you can waste a lot of time because you don't have the correct information.

The quest details refer to the mobs you have to kill as "Unbound Flame spirits". If you fly around the area looking for "Unbound flame Spirits" you won't find any.

This is because the mobs you need to kill are called "Blazebound elementals" Now I know some might say, "well that's the same thing", but I tend to take names of things literally.

To make things worse, if you mouse over the Blazebound Elementals, there is no imformation in the tool tip that tells you that these are the guys you need to kill.

All you need to do is find Blazebound elementals, target them and hit with the staff, then kill the small flames when they appear, they are fairly easy.

Hope this saves someone some time.

As a shadowpriest found this easy to do:

Target Blazehound Elemental.
Use Flameseer's Staff on the baad baad elemental.
When the big guy turns into a bunch of li'l ones (i think number varies, but they don't exceed 10) target one 'em.
Mind Sear till all dead.
Repeat above 4 steps 'till quest is complete.

Tip for an enchantment shaman who sucks at killing little itty bity dinky things that spawn. Drop a magma totem, and ignite one with flame shock, then hit fire nova and by this time they will be dead. I guess other shamans could do this too but they have other good moves to use...

SPECIAL ADVICE FOR DRUIDS

dps- Use Swipe (Cat) to wipe them out quickly. Just twice for each group. death not guarunteed ;)

tank- Not the most useful, tanks, just try cat for once! ~~Get over it!~~ Ok, hehe just use Thrash. Not that effective...but thats your problem :/

heals/balance- Hurricane is good, just dont miss anyone! Thats pretty much it for you

At first I had no idea, seeing as how I didn't read the whole description (a bad habit of mine). But alas, I read it and then it was easy peasy.

As a Warlock:
1) targeted the large Blazebound elemental,
2) used the Flameseer's Staff on the elmental
3) soon as the mass of Unbound Flame Spirits came charging toward me I selected Hellfire. Yah, they were gone in a couple seconds. I only had to do this three times to complete the quest but I imagine that varies.

I've been at this qst for over 45 min and only find 1 bound fire elemental at 98.87, 24.54. It's slow going but I can kill it for varying amounts of the the little guys..Tedioous but doable.

Description

The large elementals that besiege us are not a singular entity.

They are an amalgamation of lesser spirits bound together by the Twilight's Hammer cultists' magic.

The rebuilt flameseer's staff will give us enough power to shatter its bonds.

Destroy the smaller elementals once you've broken up the more dangerous large ones.
