This was a previous posting about fiery enchants but thought it was ok to repost here with a bit more fun detail�s added to the fight.

I was very fortunate to have a friend give me this enchant for free on both of my Hunters Axe's (Steelclaw Reaver) & (Gloom Reaper of the Tiger). The enchant dose not go off a often as I expected it to but when it dose especially when both go off at once the damage and special effects is quite cool.

I do attribute it in part to my victory over Mor'ladium a 35 elite in Raven Hill Cemetery out of Duskwood�

I was level 34 at the time after receiving my new enchants I wanted to try something harder than a standard Mob. I decided to go after Mor�ladium of Raven Hill. After finding a suitable area lease likely to get add-on�s I set a fire burst trap and sent in my pet Phantom she fought very valiantly and would not give up as I pummeled our adversary with arrows with an occasional arcane and triple shot With our foe at just less than half life I did loose my best friend Phantom to the ruthless attacks of Mor�ladium he then turned his ravenous attention to me with a swift blood curdling pace he ran towards me determend to vanquish me to a humiliating and painful death.
He stepped through my trap and became engulfed in flames but it did not slow him down with crashing blows we entered into hand-to-hand combat. With the painful loss of my best friend Phantom I decided to fight to the death for his faithful devotion. I was being beaten down terribly my health and mana was almost gone I drank a greater healing potion and got back about 1/3rd of my health but his attacks were relentless and powerful I almost lost the battle but then it happened, The improbable a double fiery burst from my flaming Axe�s and a single 400 + critical hit at the last few determining seconds of the battle decided to whom the hard fought sorrowful victory would go.
My revenge from many a fearful fleeing and a death or two was complete; the dreaded Mob of Raven Hill Mor�ladium lay dead at my feet

Mor�Ladin is a tough undead. When you are fighting agains him, he attracts nearby squeletal healers and other undead, so it is wise to go with a party.
In my case, I was able to kill him in 3 different occasions with a party of one healer lvl 33, two rogues (I was one) and a warrior.
He respawns very quickly and he is extremely aggresive.

He can be easily kited to darkshire or sentinel hill with a hunter/mage/warlock. When I did it at 28, he died right outside of town before any guards aggro'd on him.

I was able to solo Mor'Ladim as a level 33 shadow priest, without using potions or anything special. Well, I used the Draenei racial symbol of hope, but after you read what I did, you will find that any priest is capable of soloing Mor'Ladim.

The basic strategy for a priest is to "shackle-kite" him. You want to open with a direct damage spell like mind blast or smite. Or, I suppose if you like, you could also try mind flay. Then once Mor'Ladim starts chasing you, shackle him. Get a little range, wait for some mana to regenerate, then re-open with another direct damage spell.

A few things to note: If you constantly damage and shackle, you will probably run out of mana. So, you really want to wait for mana to regenerate during the shackle. Also, it might take you a little while to wear Mor'Ladim down with this strategy. But ultimately, you will able to solo him. If you have 5 talent points in shadow-weaving, you might be better off using mind blast so that the shadow vulnerability debuff stacks on Mor'Ladim. It's helpful, but not necessary. Also, since you are using shackle, I hope it is obvious that you don't want to do something like, Shadow Word: Pain Mor'Ladim. It will break the shackle for the duration.

There is also a little court yard in Raven Hill Cemetary, which features a broken statue and a cobbled area around it. I found this to be relatively free from all the other monsters roaming the cemetary, and it's a good spot to shackle-kite Mor'Ladim. Just kite him to one side, shackle, and then run to the opposite side.

I managed to solo him as a level 28 frost mage, the trick is to kite him over the clear patch of field between the house where Morbent Fel resides and the ghoul crypt, be sure to clear some of the Skeletal Raiders if you think they might aggro doing the job.

Just pull him with your upper rank frostbolt, kite him with your lowest rank until you get a frostbite proc, then you cast your upper rank frostbolt again, when he gets withing range (often after he activates his 'special') just frost nova, take some distance and repeat the above strategy. When you reach the end of the field, do a quick turn, blink and start kiting him over the field again, the opposite direction.

When you run out of mana, nova him and regen all your mana with evocate, then just continue on with the kiting. I did this without any twinked gear but I did use my Blessing of the Naaru in order to make sure I didn't die when I took two hits, so you might want to take a healing and mana potion doing this.

Is it just me or is this a joke XP?

I mean, all other elite quests in Duskwood, that can be done way earlier than this one (lvl 31 elite Eliza and 32 elite Morbent) give almost 4K XP and this one just 2K? For doing a 35 elite? When supposedly, at 30 you won't be around Duskwood anymore, and thus you'll be fighting a red elite instead of a yellow one?...

Looks like cr*p XP, if you ask me...

And the reputation? Another joke vs the 500 of the other elites and Eliza will even give you 500 rep for *all* alliance factions not just SW...

Someone created this quest very badly...

Solo'd him as a lvl 29 Draenei BM spec hunter with a Ravager.

Pretty easy, used Mend Pet, Gift of the Naaru on pet, and popped a Lesser Healthstone for myself. Nothing special, just used Frost Trap on him once to buy myself a lil time to heal and get more distance. And yes he was a lvl 30 Elite when I took him.

I soloed as a 28 Warlock. Just sent voidwalker, applied curses every now and again. Using health funnel to balance out the damage he does and just let the curses take him down.

I soloed Mor'Ladim as a 30 Night Elf Hunter with my Tiger.

You will need the time a freeze trap will buy you to get some mana and health back so have some bandages or a healing/mana potion ready to get back in quicker, then send your pet back in and let it get some aggro and start to fire away again.

I easily soled him as a level 30 Rogue. He isn't immune to stuns, so that makes it even simplier. Really, really easy.

I soloed Mor'Ladim as a 32 fire mage. I waited for him in the clearing east of his path and hit him as he was walking away with pyroblast, fireball, and cone of cold and he was on me. Then frost nova, backed up and cast mana shield and fireballed him again, then fireblast, he broke out of the frost nova, then arcane explosion, got off another fireball while he was pounding on me, then fireblast, frost nova again, backed up, bandaged, used a mana agate, another fireball and fireblast and down he went.

i could find a group so i soloed him as a 30 elemental shaman. sat down stoneskin, searing and poison cleaning totem. i thought he would be poisoning too since the other guys did but he didnt. i had a protection agilty and stamina scroll so i used those as well. i healed myself when i was half way down in my hp twice and use gift of naruu. i kept frost shocking him to slow him down. went down real nice and on the first time. good luck :)

Solo'd at 31, with lock. Felhunter minion. Healthstone and Healing Potion. Fought him in the centre of the cemetry- there's a empty space, where he's not likely to get support from any other monsters.
As cherub says, Mor'Ladim is now a level 30 elite, with advised "group." You don't need one, but it makes it easier, and you can complete the quest earlier. Only drop is his skull (quest item) () and about 2 Silver.

this quest is easy for hunter. i killed him as a lvl 28 hunter without party. i just simply kited him and he dead outside the cemetery. but make sure that u clear the other mobs on your way before u kite him.

His a lvl 30 elite. I solo'd this as a lvl 31 lock and had no trouble. Just use your voidwalker and keep him alive long enough to throw your DoTs onto him and then hit him with shadow bolts. Watch out for other enemies because I had a Skeletal raider on me aswell.

Solo'd him as a 29 enhancement shammy. Died the first time because i tried to mellee him down. Second time i just kited him around with frost shock and earthbind totem. He has some enrage that makes him attack much faster so he will tear you to pieces quite fast if you dont kite him.

Solo'd as a level 31 Protection Paladin - pretty easy for an elite. Here's how I did it:
- Judgement of the Crusader
- Consecration
- Exorcism
- Seal/Judgement of Righteousness
- Mana potion + Heavy Stone Statue (needed mana and the statue helped so I didn't have to self-heal)
- Hammer of Justice
- Seal of Righteousness + auto attack
- Loot and be happy =)

He didn't summon anything when I fought him (14 July 2008, patch 2.4.2) so he's real easy as far as I can tell.

I was able to solo him as a level 28 shadow priest with two health pots. I just kept on casting shackle undead on him, running away then using mind flay and mind blast, it was easily done. Also do not use shadow word pain because it breaks the shackle.

Just fyi, the person who wrote the book you get as a quest messed up. On page one it says he had "three children, a son and two daughters." Later on in the cemetery he only finds three graves, one of them being his wife's. 3 Dead Children + 1 Dead Wife ≠ 3 Graves.

Solo'd as a 30 druid, but its a tough fight.

Started off in humanoid with entangling roots, Moonfire, and wrath but didn't want to blow my mana. Switched to cat and did some quick damage. When my health got below 50%, I went back to entangling roots, bandaged, HoT, then mana pot. Did some more Moonfire then switched to bear.

The trick is keeping your mana up, entangling roots is nice to give yourself a break for cooldowns.

Did this quest as a level 27 feral druid. If you're an herbalist, the new spell Lifeblood is awesome, definitely use it here. Anyway, after a couple failed attempts, here's what worked for me:
- wait for him to pat into the empty field so you have plenty of room to run around without aggroing adds
- wear "bear" gear if you have any (nothing special, just more stam than my cat gear)
- go cat, stealth in, shred, rake, and claw to 5 points, rip
- root him, root him again if it resists, run away and heal to full
- go cat, keep your distance, wait for roots to wear off while your energy ticks up, and let him run to you if you still aren't at max energy
- repeat

With Lifeblood on CD the second time around, I had to root/heal before I got 5 combo points. After that I just went cat again, waited for roots to fade and put a rip up as soon as I got 5 cp. That should do it, good luck.

Got bored and killed him waiting for Morbent Fel to spawn again. Solo as 36 warrior. Easy Easy. But did have to drink health potion.

lvl 36 enh shaman, solo'd just put down some totems and dps'ed him down faster than he could me but any lower you might need some help. If you have HoT's use them at about half health any lower it would be useless

Found him at 17,37. Walks around the Catacomb area. Lvl 28 druid, did it with a 29 pally it was pretty easy.

I was able to solo this as a 30 Prot warrior with another 2 mobs fighting me at the same time!
I used Shield Block at the start and Shield Wall / Last Stand near the end.
I still had Retaliation and Intimidating Shout left as well as some potions.

Just try keep him stunned and get him into the clear (though having more then 1 mob attacked may have helped me as a Prot warrior).

Defiantly dont need a group for this as any class i reckon.

Solo'd as a 28 ret paladin with this axe and these shoulders.
(I mention these items because they provide me with better stats, obviously. But the axe is pretty comparable to any blue of the current level so go run VC and you oughta be fine.)

I ended the fight with 80% health and 50% mana, and I even had an add come when Mor'Ladim was at 30%. Mor'Ladim was hitting me for about 70 per swing.

Blizzard is making elites easier for those of us solo leveling ;)

Did this on my level 28 Hunter
Get him on hos own send your pet in
Basically I got him down to 50% ranged with my pet taking all the damage

Then I took aggro and used melee till like 20% then I wing clipped and ran around him in circles with my pet chasing him and doing damage whilst I was running fired two arcane shots

If you are about the same level as me you might wanna melee him or kite him halfway trough because my cat (emphasis on cat)
was losing health fast.

Solo'd as a lvl 31 Kitty Druid. I had to use Healing Touch once, then returned to Cat form. Used Tiger Fury and Survival Instincts. It's suprisingly not hard, I was tired and it was late, and had just turned in a quest to Sven, then I decided to just go ahead and try to solo him, if I died that was it for the night. I'm glad I tried though.

Easily doable on your own, completed it with no assistance as a 31 ret pally. I didn't lose anymore than 200 hp during any part of the literally 20 second fight.

Soloed him yesterday with my (then) 29 rogue, and again today with a 32 frost mage, which was laughably easy.

I'm guessing he's probably been nerfed a little of late ;)

Alright, I was around those coordinates and couldn't find him (he was dead, despawned, whatever)
So, I opened lightheaded to find him and all I could find was a bunch of people describing how they solo'd him, as if anyone cares.
While looking on wowhead, I got attacked - good thing I had sound on in-game and heard it. Tabbing back in - it was Mor'ladim himself.
Only logged in to post this and downrate every "I solo'd him" comment. Go post it on world of raids - I don't care how you solo'd him.

Although he's a 31 elite, he doesn't hit as hard as you might think. I was expecting a bit of a fight (31 ret pally in assorted crappy greens) but he went down in no time with no fancy tricks required. I'd hazard a guess that you could easily do it a couple of levels lower than that if you're in a group, got good gear, or are ready to blow some cooldowns. Definitely worth having a crack at him solo, he's easier that you'd expect, and if you can get someone to run you through at a lower level the ultimate reward for the chain - Archeus - is a pretty awesome piece of gear.

Not hard at all, just soloed him with my lvl28 retri pala. Exorcism was very important since it crites every time on undead, needed to heal myself 1x with Holy Light..easy peasy...and he doesn`t hit that hard.

Solo'd as a 28 Shadow Priest. Very easy by using Power Word Shield and a couple of heals on myself. My advice is to make sure that you won't aggro any other mobs. I was fortunate enough to catch him in the open.

Soloed as a 28 rogue on my second try, but was nearly dead by the end of the fight. Popped Lifeblood, a healing potion, and stunned him so that I could bandage myself. Also used Cheap Shot, Evasion, and Dismantle. Wait until you can get him alone before you attack. It was a tough fight but it can be done.

How to kill Mor'Ladim for Dummies with a Paladin (im kidding =P)

1-Don't do this fight like me. CLEAR the area around first, it is very important, or you will have a bunch of mobs on you, i managed to survive but i guess i was lucky.

2- Bring Bandages, you will need them and a health potion just in case.

Done with 27 Retribution Paladin.

1- Pull with Hand of Reckoning, Exorcism, Judge Light, use your Divine Protection spell to save some mana on heals.
2- After you are getting low (half bar or less if you are feeling confident) use your spell Turn Evil (this will make Mor'Ladim get feared for 20 seconds), bandage up, let cooldowns get up, and before fear ends pull with Hand of Reckoning, Exorcism, Judge Light.
(Throw in a few heals if you need.)~~This should be easy fight using this method.~~ With this strategy this shouldn't even be a fight, it should be more like a walk in the park.

Soloed as a lvl 27 paladin. Had to use Gift of naaru once, and every time stun was up i used it. I also used seal of justice. Hope it helped.

As others have said, easily soloed this as a level 29 shammy. My totems: flametongue, stoneskin and healing stream, plus water shield and flametongue weapon. Took my time and healed myself a fair bit, but even doing that it didn't take too long to kill him. Compared to doing this on even my pally it was a walk in the park. Finished with full health and two 3rds mana.

If you do solo this, just make sure you clear the area first ;)

Pulled it of as a 28 Frost Mage. He can be affected by snares (like Chill effects) and roots (Freeze, etc.), so Mages and Druids might have an easier time against him.

Still recommend bringing a decent health potion along, though; I had to pop Gift of the Naaru when my computer decided to lag, and when it stopped he was only 1-2 hits away from killing me.

Managed to solo as a level 26 feral druid, started in cat form and got to 5 combo points and used rip. Had rank 2 lifeblood to help me and also the druid belt: Aquarius Belt 'Nature's Grasp' was a lifesaver helped me swap out to heal and back, most of the fight I spent in bear form. Had to use a greater healing pot.

Best accomplishment on WOW ever. Soloed as a level 26 hunter. The first try i died quickly. The second try I got about one third of his health down before my pet lost aggro. Spent the next 30 seconds using concussive shot and running backwards in circles. He hit me and I was so close to dying that I literally had no green in my health bar left and i got lucky and hit him with an arcane shot. Good thing there was no other mobs around. :)

And they said it was hard to do under level 30, let alone soloing it at the req. level :D

Side note: I like the look of the sword and all, but i sadly had a better one so the reward might be huge for some people, but its not the best.

Plus, this had to be one of the best storylines in WOW. definite accomplishment cause most of the quests have no storyline at all. It was an epic ending, at least until a level ? undead mage came out of nowhere, one shotted me, and then ran away :P

Soloed as a level 22 Holy Paladin, combo of Word of Glory + Holy Shock to keep myself alive, while battering him with Crusader Strike and Judgements. No pots or anything else used, in standard gear without heirlooms.

Had 904 HP and 1199 Mana, finished the fight nearly OOM. Using Smite's Mighty Hammer and mainly cloth armor as I usually heal in instances. Was red to me at 22, as a level 30 elite.

Obsolete? Really? As of when? On June 20, 2011, I got this quest and completed it. I got his skull and turned it in successfully. Granted, I am doing these as "low level quests" with my level 85 Death Knight.

I will back up the claim that this is not obsolete. I just finished it and it's 04 Nov 2011, months after it was marked obsolete by Wowhead. I did it as a level 30 hunter.

He is no longer a level 35 elite, he's been dumbed down to a level 25 elite. Solo'd this as a lvl28 Resto Druid no problem at all.

Why is this marked obsolete? I just completed this quest. While 3 people are suggested, you can solo it. I'm a level 31 rogue and had no problem at all. Hardly lost any health.
