If you can get a higher level to run you through the questlines Panther Mastery (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=190), Tiger Mastery (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=185), Raptor Mastery (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=194), and Big Game Hunter (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=208) you will get a very solid set of gear for a 29 twink hunter or for any other leather class.

If you fail at killing this cat on your first attempt, but get him below 50%, the two ads will remain with him even when he resets. Two additional cats will then spawn when his health crawls below 50% again.

This means that if you're going alone, you basically only have one shot at taking him down.

Can someone please confirm you STILL can get this quest at level 28-29 ? Because I've checked Wowwiki and here in Wowhead, both say (as it appears to have been changed) that the quest is now only obtainable at level 31. You could have done the pre-quests for this one, but can someone confirm me with facts (i.e. someone who just got it 1 week ago or so) that you can still get it before 30?
And if yes, WHY would wowhead and wowwiki change the level pre-requisite of this quest?

I completed all the mastery quests, with the help of my amazing guildies :) and was able to get this quest at level 29. Therefore, it is still available for level 29s but not sure about 28.

Also tamable, I got him as a pet as soon as i turned 43 with the help of a nice night elf who happened to be passing who took the agro from the other cats :)

I must say, that as a shaman, this Q ain't worth doing if you want rewards! They should make them into blue stuff for EVERY class like in that The Ultimate Bloodsport Q in outland! And I didn't need any of the rewards for the pre-Q's neither... so crappy Q I'd say!

King Bangalash will summon 2 panthers, so it will take 2 to complete this quest. He can be taken out by one person while the other deal with the panthers. He respawns fairly fast, if you get there just as someone else kills him. It is good if you have someone run you through the whole chain in a row.

I saw a level 50 hunter in Westfall with this mob as a pet and it was still elite. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to tame it, and also that it stays elite?

If you fail, or someone else has, you can pull him and run away and then kill his adds. He resets before his adds.

He will have the two companions only after someone has failed to complete the quest but got him down to approx 50% health. Normally he is by his lonesome and the adds only come later.

can you then tell me why he had 4 panthers whit him?? have they tryed 2 times and lost the battle both times??

i did number crunch with lich king xp rates even ghosting with friend still to much xp
are my numbers wrong i added the updated quest experience rewarded and it cant be done to get the quest reward for a 29 twink hunt

I attempted this quest twice today, and both times his spawned adds were level 43. They despawned seconds after my death.

Still barely managed to solo it as level 42 enhance shaman keeping water shield up, healing stream, windfury, and magma totems. Healed myself every couple of seconds, dropped stoneclaw totem just as the adds spawned and that kept them occupied long enough for me to finish Bangalash off. Actually we died at the same time, but hey, still completed.

The items from this quest and the pre-requisite quests are being removed in Cataclysm. Anyone intending on making a level 29 twink should hop to it ASAP. The replacement rewards in Cataclysm will be below ilvl35 and ineligible for BC enchants.

If anyone's confused with the comments, I just did this quest and it's a level 29 tiger. Soloed this at level 32.

If you're under 29 and have trouble with his two adds, just loot his head and GTFO.

Found him at 47.8, 59.3 on the ridge, under a bush.

Follow the river down to the abyss, and he's on the left.

King Bangalash is sadly, no longer elite. I got all psyched up for an epic twink battle only to be majorly disappointed.

Anyone in that level range could easily solo him now. :(

Correct location (co-ordinates) for Bangalash are, 48.33, 58.60. Also, he isn't an elite, thoughhe still summons two panthers very early in the fight. Clear ALL the tigers and stelthe panthers at the base of the hill first. The ramp up to the plateau is on the southeastern side close to the edge of The Sundering. Be very careful.

Interestingly, if you have this quest in your log, any tamed Bangalash hunter pet will show as a skull on your minimap--even in capital cities or the "wrong" zone :P

solo'ed this entire quest-line as a level 24 fire mage. Durability is at 24% though, not a big deal at such a low level.

I wanted this quest for a transmog piece for my druid. If you are wondering why the quest giver does not automatically give you this quest it is because you have to do the small quest lines from him and his people that involve killing, tigers, panthers and etc. There are four of those mini quest lines that have to be completed first. Luckily after you do the first of each of these quest lines you dont have to automatically run back to the camp to turn it. The game will prompt to next part of the series until the mini quest line is over and if you do them all at once you will be able to turn in and receive this quest. Hope I helped someone.

After you finish Raptor Mastery, you get two new quest chains;

If you are completing this quest as a rogue, you may be worrying about which item to pick for transmog purposes, as both of them Mantle of the White Tiger and Bangalash's Claw, are completely unique and do not share the same model with anything else that is currently obtainable. However, when you complete the quest, the game will automatically unlock both appearances for you in your collection, meaning that you can focus purely on the stats of the item rather than their appearance

If you're completing this on a hunter, you get the rifle, the mail shoulders and the dagger added to your appearance collection, not matter if you pick the shoulders or the gun.

Description
