This quest gives 3 great wands for its level, and they will serve you well for quite a few levels. They either boost your +fire, +frost or +arcane damage.

The quest is not hard to do, but finding the quest giver can be quite difficult, who is located in the middle of Dustwallow Marsh, a level 45 zone. If you keep frostnovaing, popping up mana shield, blinking etc, however, you should be fine.

The quest series start at your mage trainer at level 30, so go speak to him/her. Don't miss this quest, I see lots of mages at level 40 who use worse wands because of this.

All of the wands, are pretty equal so dont worry about getting the best one .1 dps isnt alot :P you should choose the one that is in correlation to your spec (fire mages get the fire wand) Also the quest give is in a little hut :).

actually the casting speed of a wand does very little. I know i'm going to take the Icefury because I am a frost mage, but actually in damage the Icefury is the best because it is the slowest a slower weapon will do more damage and most likely with any of the wands you'll only get in 3 hits before a target attacks you or dies so you do the most damage with the Icefury... That's the reason why warriors all choose the axe in their quest because it's the slowest

I would take the fire wand since I'm all fire but what if i need to fight a fire elemental? I think I'm going for the arcane because very few are immune to it (and it has the highest dps!).

If you got 3/3 Improved Scorch (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=11095) then I would prefer the Ragefire Wand because of it deals fire damage and is really fast.

I cant get acces to this quest.

Can it be because i am a Blood Elf Mage ? or do i need to do one of the mages quests in order to get acces to it ?

It's not about the DPS its about the +Damage and stats. They're almost all equal and it depends on what talent spec you are. If your Fire obviously pick Ragefire wand, if your Frost then obviously pick Icefury wand and if your Arcane then pick Nether Force Wand. Not like you ever use your wand more than your spells so why pick DPS go for the stats and thats the most important thing about these wands. If your hybrid then choose the wand your most comfortable with.

you must be level 35 to obtain the quest to get the wand. you can start the chain at level 30.

I did these quests with help from a 70 friend, achieving the wand at lvl 30. I was also able to make it fairly easy to Tabetha's location both times.

Like Calminaion said, just need to follow these quests:

Brought the quest's back completed, she said some stuff then bam I got the wand quest. She did some more stuff then I turned in the quest for a badass wand at level 30.

The moral of this story is, YOU CAN GET THIS WAND AT LEVEL 30.

Here's a quick bit of insanity .. I got the Ragefire wand at level 30 ... I've just hit outlands, and am sizing up the quest rewards from all over HFP ... the Desolation Rod (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29915) from from the quest Bonechewer Blood (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10450), which one of the very first quests you pick up in HFP ... is only marginally better ... well, I actually still haven't decided that ... it gives +3 int but I lose +2 damage.

Before this, I haven't found a wand to replace the Ragefire Wand ....

Consider this carefully when you hit 30

The first time you run down here, be sure and go to Mudsprocket for the flight point. It'll save you several long runs in the future.

hello all, my twink alt mage is looking to get the fire wand. but im having a problem...i finished all the chain quests above it but i did not get the option to get this wand..do i have to do the quest "items of power" maybe?? please help

I finished this quest and she hasnt given me the wand. Im guessing i need to do the other 2 Items of power and Infernakl Orb before u get this?

Yes You have to finish ALL of the quests before she gives you the wand.

Not impossible, but very hard on lvl 30 (i mean full questchain). But if lvl 50+ char will help you, it will be done fast and easy.
All three wands are very nice - you can use them up to ~lvl 45-48, when will better, but if +spell dmg you need more, than wand dps, you'll may use it a long time.

As of patch 3.0, these now all have the same stats (3 int, 7 spellpower). I would advise taking a wand that is NOT the same as your main spec, so that you can use it against mobs that resist your main school to supplement your off-spec spells.

why you get this quest at lvl 30 i don't know you can't do it hen unless you have some pretty powerful friends. or unless a group of like 25 lvl 30 mages decide to gang up and finish the quest with only 50 trillion wipes. I can see it now, "25 mages lost in scarlet monestary " it will be the headlines on every newspaper.

No one seems to have mentioned (I may have missed it) that you also have to complete the quest Items of Power to get the wand quest

While all wands now gives equal amount of spellpower, magical damages from wands themselves are still different. Thus, attacking with the arcane wand will do arcane damage, while attacking with the fire one will do fire damage.
