This definately isn't a level 30 weapon, and isn't worth all the running around, especially for blood elves.

For anyone doing the Westfall, Redridge, Darkshore area quests from level 13-22

Grab an 11dps green one-handed mace from the AH at level 10 or 11, get someone to run you through DM to get Cookie's Tenderizer, then complete the Legend of Stalvan quest chain as soon as possible (the only part you should need help with is the end) and you'll get a 22.8 dps one-handed axe.

You'll have to train to use axes in Ironforge and then raise your axe skill, but this gives you around 500 extra armor plus blocks (esp. good if you're specced for redoubt) and less lost dps to misses and mob parries.

Well worth your time...really...if you have nothing better to do, the quests are not that bad...a little bit of a run-around for a weapon you could easily be using up til 30...

"I've named it after a great dwarven <class> who was a friend of mine" should be "I've named it after a great dwarven paladin who was a friend of mine." This is a paladin-only weapon, and is the final reward of a class quest chain.

Arguably just as good for a healadin as for a ret pally: The (phenomenal) Spirit buff adds to mana regeneration, and therefore benefits heals as much as it does the holy smackdown. (Protadins will more often be using a one-hander and a shield.)

Yeah, it's a great weapon. Too bad I like to use a shield. And I'm not overly fond of hammers. I'm a little annoyed at being stereotyped this way, actually. When are we going to get a really good Paladin /sword/?

For all the work involved in this quest, it would be nice if given the option of a 1H or 2H weapon.

I solod this quest at lvl 23, the only hard part was getting the wood. Everything else was pie. Pretty nice reward. Definetly worth it.

I'm sorry that getting the wood was the hardest part for you, personally i found that part to be the easiest. But, then again i was watching Cinemax and it was pretty late.

I did the test of righteousness after it was grey i have all the items but when i went to Jordan to turn it in he doesn't acknowledge that i have them ... any suggestions I figured it out I didn't get the gem purified... duh

This is a good ret mace, the stats aren't that good but 25 DPS is quite nice.
Unfortunately the work to get it isn't worth it IMO.

I know Blizzard loves to move ever forward - but it would really be nice if they would go back and re-budget some of the class-specific rewards so they make sense. Spirit - to any spec of Paladin at any level - is pretty much a waste of budget points in an item.

As it is, this is still the highest DPS weapon a Paladin can snatch up at the level, and if you can find a higher level character to run you through the quest it's easy and worth the XP. If not, then the next best option is about 2 levels away, in Reef Axe, which drops out of Blackfathom Deeps (~23.5 DPS when you factor in the AP boost).

Yes this quest can be soloed, even the sfk part i was lv 24 as ret.

To those of you wondering if you should complete this quest... the answer is yes.

I don't care if you're doing this at level 20 with same-level groups, doing it then with a 80 powering you through. Or even if you solo it at 40 or even waiting until you're 80 and going back to solo it then. Just do the quest.

At the end of the day you can't look at yourself in the mirror and call yourself a Paladin if you haven't done the Verigan's Fist quest and the Charger quest. If you can't handle it, go roll a DK.

Description

Why don't we go over to the forge and get started on this? I've been preparing for your arrival for some time, so it shouldn't take long at all.

When we're done, you'll be far more prepared to defend the Light than you have been, this much I swear.

I'll be somewhat honest, <name>, seeing the results of your exploits makes me somewhat envious. But knowing that I can contribute to your adventures in my own significant way does bring me some joy.
