I've thrown 4 zepplins to my orphan and haven't gotten credit. Waited out the "Playing" debuff and everything.

Make sure you buy the Small Paper Zeppelin from Jepetto, not the Paper Zeppelin Kit. The regular paper zeppelin is meant for tossing at players, while the small one is specifically for the orphans.

So upon attempting this quest, I ended up getting an "Invalid Target" every time I tried to use the zeppelin. The quest is a little bit buggy. Finally got it after some trial and error, and LOTS of running around. I followed these steps, and since some guildies having the same problem has done what I did as well, and instantly got the quest completion.

1) Abandon quest.
2) Destroy whistle (it didn't seem to matter Wolvar or Oracle Orphan, bugged with both).
3) Get another whistle from the Matron in Dalaran.
4) Summon Orphan and re-acquire quest.
5) Go back and buy the quest Zeppelin.
6) Clear your target. DON'T TARGET ANYTHING. The bug seems to be in the targeting of your Orphan.
7) Right click on the Zeppelin (the little glove will highlight when you do this)
8) Click on your Orphan.
9) Achievement completed.

I tried several times to target my Orphan before using the zeppelin, and the quest item immediately bugged to the "Invalid Target" thing again. Finally it worked with the above steps.

In children's week 2013 this quest can be buggy sometimes where you want to do the quest you get a message of "invalid target".

If you are struggling to do this quest then try this.

1. Buy more than one Small Paper Zeppelin from the vendor.
2. Get outside of the shop to the street.
3. Target your orphan and use Small Paper Zeppelin.
4. If you get a message invalid target, you will be unable to move and your orphan is going to walk to a distance with you.
5. Wait your item's cooldown to expire and click your Small Paper Zeppelin again.

If you - like me - keep getting the Invalid Target error, try flying out to one of the islands surrounding Dalaran. There's apparently enough free space that your orphan DOESN'T run his head into a wall which seems to be the main problem with this quest.

Amazing how four years after the quest was made (or is it five now?) Blizzard can suddenly make it just not work right anymore. What even changed in Dalaran or with this quest?

If you can't throw the zeppelin, make sure you have the "small paper zeppelin" from Jepetto Joybuzz, and not the paper zeppelin kit from his clockwork assistant.

Does this need a certain rep before you can get this quest? Both the wowhead guide and Zygor says this is the next quest for me to do, but the orphan does not have this quest... /2 was no help, as no1 pays attention to it LOL
