Nicely pairable with "Assault by ground" - gives about 10-12 kills while doing this one.

I would not be too bothered about loot here, by all means pick up any loot on the way, but do not go back to loot the corpses as you will be faced with instant groups of 4 spawning and no soldiers to help you, being caught possibly not on full health from the previous fights you may die and be tempted back to recover the loot from the respawns, and only on res health, here we go again. Do not be tempted by only 1 mob standing by your lootable corpses, as soon as you get near it the others will spawn.

The Val'kyr Taskmistress mobs within the Ymirheim saronite mine do not give kill credit for this quest.

Respawn is so quick on these things that you can usually kite the same 2 - 4 from just near the bottom of the path down to the soldiers where they will help you kill them.

If your'e doing Assault by Ground paired with this quest, also go pickup Blood of the Chosen for the trifecta.

For Alliance, this can be paired up with any combination of the following Argent Tournament quests, as the Ymirheim Vrykul are considered Scourge as well.

Champion level
Taking battle to the enemy
Taking battle to the enemy

Valiant level
A valiant’s field training

Aspirant level
Training in the Field

Simply kill the Ymirheim Vrykul required for Blood of the Chosen and you will have automatically completed any of the aforementioned quests.

This quest also gives 138 rep (if u are human) whid Alliance Vanguard if u hawe exalted whid Valiance Expedition.

If you are not also doing the quest , do yourself a favor and skip the Ymirheim Defenders. When attacked another 4 mobs will rush towards them.

The other mobs do not spawn these adds.

Definitely make sure that you skip the Ymirheim Defenders on the path up, when you attack them 4 more spawn out of no where and start attacking you as well. If you can, just fly up to the front gate and start killing from there.

Well...I managed to do this quest alone with my disc priest at lvl 85. Even if mobs were attacking me while I poured the neutralizer, I got to interruptions and if you are careful with the potion's cooldown you can do this quest alone.

Description

Those vrykul that have gained the favor of the Lich King call themselves the Ymirjar. They inhabit a city in the center of Icecrown. We have a lot of preparations to make before we assault Icecrown Citadel, and the one that stands before us now is routing these so-called "Chosen" of the Lich King.

Go to their city, Ymirheim, and slaughter them in their home. Let there be no questions as to who the stronger combatants are here.
