This will happen after the gates of Angrathar event, I think. It's there that Sylvanas will reveal the plaue that her Royal Apothecary Society had been doing. And reading this...and feeling that feeling in my chest when it's revealed that..he is dying. Thrall is dying.

The text it self doesn't reveal that he IS dying, only that the day he does perish, he wished alot of things that he is unable to reverse.

Thrall's dialogue doesn't indicate his death directly. If you recall the way he spoke and acted in WC3, he is a generally peaceful person who values the lives of those under him. Sending them to war especially against another part of the Horde would weigh heavily on him.

Also (coming from an Alliance player), Thrall is probably the best NPC (next to Tirion Fordring, of course ;))

nice exacly what we need here...

and further more has anyone concidered the more likely alternative :

Varimithias and the "Putress" person betray the banshee queen and kill her. this would make sense because it would explain why there would still be undead in the undercity, listening to vol'jin (and we can asume this cause otherwise why bother to appoint a horde leader like vol'jin to a city that would be abandoned/ in ruins if sylvannas really did rebel against the horde)

it is because of this, and the fact that there's no mention of sylvannas that i think something happens to her and thrall has to clean up the mess....

only thing to do is wait...

further more look at the way "putress" is said...

it's not said as though it was a title but like it is a name. and if it was a title "putress" is one of the adjective titles not a noun title

the difference being an adjective title would be something like- The great, The black The Putress
a noun type would be something like The herald, The Conqueror- the difference being that you can refer to someone as "Herald" or "Conqueror" but not as, Great Black or Putress.

the way the wording works i'd bet anything Putress is a name

and my final piece of evidence: Thrall's depression. Thrall's been weary of the scourge since they first joined and if sylvannas betrayed him (and in turn all the forsaken since they all love her) he'd go into a fit, imprisoning every forsaken who could get etc. this sounds more like it was a tragic loss then a major C'oup de ta (sorry if i misspelled) on the part of the forsaken.

it sounds like Vari and the putress person betrayed the Horde AND the Forsaken.... and i think sylvannas most of all

basically what happens is a bunch of alliance troops are about to assualt the wrath gate: when the horde shows up to the party as well. the lich king addresses them and then sylvnnas shows up. she unleashes her plaque and everyone runs for the hills.....

it does seem pretty damning on the part of sylvannas

It could be the Putress is a member of the alliance working with the horde for an anti plague.

so it could be a double c'oup de ta ! perhaps putress is just another forsaken as well who knows but this is getting VERY interesting

You are assuming all goes well, and nothing (kelthuzad, the ominous voice, any other unknown?) throws a cog in the plans.

We have seen it before, unpredictable things do happen, grom died, kelthuzad lived, the sunwell has been given new life, many things you or I did not see coming.

And just because the ominous voice says we have won this battle doesnt mean there were no casualties..

I cant wait ^_^

Part of the Horde questline for the Wrath Gate event. This quest line is very long and spans the entire length of Dragonblight. Quite honestly, I consider this one of the most important quest lines (thus far) in Wrath. A must-do for any hordeling. :)

In quite a few of these chains there are optional prequests. I will not list these, despite them being in the quest series list, because they are just that: Optional. I will list the LATEST quest available that will start the chain, or the one most likely to pick up while completing other parts of this chain.

Additionally, these quests are Horde Only. I, unfortunately, do not have an Alliance character on the Beta, so I do not have access to any alliance quests. Sorry!

Step names are purely flavor. They generalize what that part of the chain leads up to/is about.

I highly urge everyone to read the quest text. This quest line is quite possibly one of the most epic in Warcraft history and is highly worth the time. Lore lovers and haters alike should enjoy them.

Counts for Loremaster of Kalimdor. It's possible that previous ones in the chain counted too... wasn't watching.

Edit: Last quest didn't count, probably because it was finished in EK.

If you port away from Orgrimar during this quest you can just head back to Orgrimar and it will be in your quest phase.

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Take the portal to Undercity located in Grommash Hold and report to Vol'jin.

Description

On the day of my death I wish to be able to say that I lived a life without regret. Those who mourn my passing will know that I was a Warchief who made decisions that best served his people.

But this betrayal by Varimathras and Putress... All that we have worked for is for nothing.

<Thrall's chest heaves with a heavy sigh.>

Justice must be served.

Portals to Undercity will be active momentarily. Vol'jin will be waiting for you. I will meet you there soon. Together we will make it right, <name>.
