I was able to do this quest at level 72. But it was the only cooking daily I was able to obtain. The other 4 daily cooking quests, were not available to me.

I could'nt find the carrots anywhere else in Crystalsong forest other then right below Dalaran on the map, once there it was a peace of cake.

The carrots are along the river in crystal song. I picked up 4 directly under the city within 25-30 yards of eachother. Very easy.

This doesn't require 77; I completed it at 72. Though I took unintended durability damage when I jumped out of the Dalaran sewers... having stripped my armor off... AND LANDED ON A PLATFORM. Meaning I couldn't res and had to take 25% on ALL, and res sickness... T_T I went all the way back to Orgrimmar just to get the Exalted discount on repairs, it made that much of a difference.

is this the rarest daily or something? Because i've done the cooking daily everyday since i got to dalaran at 71 and this quest has never turned up

I got the quest on my second daily

The entrance to the sewer isn't really marked, to get down there you have to goto 35,57 its between the silver enclave and the violet citadel. After that follow the only path and take the first turn to the left, and keep left. Head for the docks and you should see the quest marker over his head.

Hehe, I thought that too...but today(On Icecrown Server), it showed up, and like an idiot, I used up my Chilled Meat for yesterday's cooking daily(12 Northern Stew+Jug of Wine). God do I feel stupid...

I've been doing the daily for about 10 days. I've had this quest come up twice. I've had the wine and cheese quest about 4 times.

For chilled meat, I found that Frosthorn Rams found near Camp Winterhoof drop a lot of chilled meat, and Daggercap Hammerheads also drop chilled meat.

I only looked for carrots near the river right next to Violet Stand and found them fairly quickly. They also spawn on the other side of the river.

This was a really easy quest!

I found more then i needed right below Dalaran, around the monument looking pillars closest to the river.

Edit: The carrots are trackable with Herbalism.

Just a minor little note for fellow herbalists, the carrots show up on your mini-map if you have "Find Herbs" active. Makes it even easier for us! ^^

When I saw this quest I got a bit of a laugh. As unlikely as it is, maybe this is a poke at the book "Sewer Soup" by Margaret Ragz.

The book itself is along the style of Goosebumps, but it was a little more oriented for a slightly older audience.

I doubt it, but still made me laugh at the time.

When I tried to accept this quest it said I didn't meet the requirements

Do I have to have a certain level of cooking? Currently 406.
Or did I just accept it too close to the daily cutover?

Wow, it took me some time but I just noticed that the horde is not getting as much xp for this daily as the alliance does. Just more proof that Blizzard likes Alliance better than Horde. And after further review I notice the same thing on a couple of the other cooking dailys too. :(

You can compare this one along with "Convention at the Legerdemain" and "Cheese for Glowergold". We really get hammered on the Cheese quest.

Huh......you're actually right, I never noticed that. The gold reward at 80 (all gold in lieu of XP) is the same however, so all in all it isn't a big deal. At least not to me, but to each his own.

Cooking dailies can be started once you reach level 65 and have a Cooking skill of at least 350.

The carrots can be found below Dalaran in Crystalsong Forest. You can fly down or take the "Teleport to Violet Stand Crystal" located in The Violet Gate (57, 46) in Dalaran. Once you have teleported down, you will want to scan around the trees closest to the river in the Western part of Crystalsong Forest, a prime location for Carrots is at the river's bend (27, 43). Once you have gathered 4x Crystalsong Carrot, you will need to make a fire and combine them with 4x Chilled Meat using the provided Stew Cookpot. You can then fly or Teleport back up to Dalaran (located in the Violet Stand (15, 42) in Western Crystalsong Forest).

Look don't get confused by all the other comments with the portals and what not just go under Dalaran next to the river you will find the carrots and then head to the underbelly (entrance is near the Flight Master) where you find Ajay Green that's it end of quest.

This has probably already been mentioned, but turn ground clutter to low when doing this quest. I usually play on ultra, so ultra ground clutter makes it nigh impossible to see carrots - low clutter makes it very, very easy.

I have been doing Cooking Dailies since over 2 Months now, and I have yet to get the 'Sewer Stew' Quest. I'm not sure what to do, the only good thing from this is, that with all the other Dailies I get over and over again (like 'Mustard Dogs' 3 Days in a Row) I can get all the Recipes and the Hat for the Tokens...
I'm getting frustrated...

Not sure if it helps those looking for this quest, but it was given to me at level 66 by the cooking trainer in Howling Fjords - I am now level 67 and trying to figure out how to get the carrots!

Right over the hill just south of Dalaran in Dragonblight Arctic Ram can be found on the hillside and have a decent drop rate for Chilled Meat.

The easiest (and quickest) way to complete this daily quest is:

Firstly, make sure that you have the 4 chilled meat in your backpack that you will need to complete the quest. After collecting the quest from the cooking trainer in the Dirty Animal in Dalaran, then hop on your mount and fly around the corner to the and click on the triangle crystal that will take you to the ground at the Violet Stand. Once on the ground, remount and head easterly towards a stream, but do not cross it. After reaching the stream turn right and follow along the near bank while looking for the carrots. Notice as you go that there will be a dilapidated structure with a bunch of broken pillars and no roof across the stream. You don't need to go any further downstream than this building. After finding 2 of the carrots cross the stream and find the final 2 carrots. Should be rather easy to find all 4 carrots this way. Then build a fire and click on the Stew Cookpot in your backpack to complete the quest. Alas, you are not quite done yet! You still need to return to Dalaran to turn in the quest.

To turn in the quest, remount and fly back towards the Violet Stand, which is where you landed after clicking on the crystal in Dalaran. You will want to head westerly back towards the purple bubble that is the shield around the Violet Stand. Look just to the left of the bubble and you will notice two elevated platforms that have some blue crystals sitting on them. You want to aim at the blue crystals on the very first platform just to the left of the purple bubble.

When you get to those crystals you will then want to fly straight up, pointed towards the edge of the bottom of Dalaran island. While flying straight up you will need to turn 180° (by holding down either the A or the D keyboard keys). This will make it easier for you to see the sewer pipe that sticks out of the bottom of the Dalaran island. Fly into the pipe and then follow said pipe until you get to a wooden dock. Turn right and viola! you are at the turn in point, Innkeeper Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Inn in the Underbelly inside of Dalaran.

This sounds kind of tricky, but try it out. You will notice that this will fly you straight to the sewer pipe, is easy to remember, and shaves valuable time off the flight back to Dalaran. Once mastered, this technique makes completing the Sewer Stew daily a lot easier than it was.
