36.6 65.7 is the nest

May be bugged somewhat. she came and finally killed me.. didnt take too long since she had 610k health and hit me for 4500 or so.. i didnt get quest complete till i was halfway back to my corpse, i rezzed and she killed me again.. so make sure she despawns before you rez :)

the nest is easy to find, just flight directly south-east and its on top of the first "hill" you see, its a small hill.

Put the eggs on her nest and mount right away, fly back abit and wait, you wont die this way :)

Definately do not engage Veranus - just fly away and stay at a safe distance until the quest auto-completes.

Dont worry about getting in combat with her, you cant anymore.

Don't attempt to do this while someone else is doing it, you won't get credit. Wait for them to finish and then use your eggs. :)

If you attempt this while someone else is doing the same quest, not only do you lose your eggs but you cannot get any new eggs nor can you move on in the quest line.
So be warned.

Quest appears to be broken... I go to the nest, place the eggs, she shows up, he jumps down, says he'll meet me back at the temple... I fly to the temple and can't turn in. What am I doing wrong? I'm sitting in the nest practically the entire time.

I did this quest at the same time as someone else and it did not complete for me...i had to abandon and redo it! So if there is anyone around doing it....DO NOT TRY TO DO IT!

Did anyone else notice you only place 4 eggs in the nest, but you had to gather 5? Wonder what happened to the 5th one.

If the quest is bugged for you or you lose your Stolen Proto-Dragon Eggs, just drop the quest and re-try. It worked for me.

As of Cata release, when Thorim mounts her, he does so by standing straight up on top of her neck - much similiar to the animation bug achieved by hopping on a 1-seat raptor or hawkstrider mount as passenger in the Throne of Tides, and just as hillarious.

Sadly, I failed at getting a screenshot, but I URGE anyone leveling an alt through northrend to check this out and get a screenshot before it's fixed.

Description

Veranus is proud like no other beast I've known. She still keeps her old nest and makes sure none of the younger proto-drakes takes it over.

Take the eggs you've collected and place them on her nest. You'll find it atop a small peak, directly southeast of here.

I should be able to get control of her before she kills you in a fit of rage. Hopefully.
