I cannot figure out how to get this quest to start the quest chains at Death's Rise. I've done everything I can find in Icecrown except for a few of the 5-man quests from the Skybreaker, which should be unrelated. I'm at 122/140 for the achievement. If anyone has any ideas, please post.

Get The Key opens up a bunch of quests at the Shadow Vault and the completion of those will lead to this one.

In order to see this quest in the Baron's quest options you need to do the Ebon Blade Prisoners quest.

if you're like me and do not have an epic mount yet, you can use the dragon from http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13071 to fly over.

to get the maximum distance covered, fly at normal speed until it tells you to return or lose the drake. then do a burst of speed.

make sure you do know where to fly so that you can travel in a straight line.

and don't worry if you lose the mount, you gain parachute effect.

It's good to note that completing this quest unlocks 2 dailies in the Death Rise area and completing 2 of the quests lord commander arete gives after this unlocks a third daily here.

Report to Lord-Commander Arete at Death's Rise in Icecrown.

Description

Some would say that our most critical mission lies not with the Lich King, but with the utter destruction of the Scarlet Onslaught. I would say that is foolish, but who am I to judge?

Death's Rise is far to the southwest, overlooking the sea along the cliff wall. There you will find Lord-Commander Arete personally overseeing the Onslaught's destruction himself.

<The baron clears his throat.>

Do see to it that you report to him with all due haste. He asked for you personally.
