Enter the abbey and turn right, left, up the spiral staircase, you'll be in the attic so just ring the bell.
Run back down to the base of the staircase, turn left and head towards the Abbot.
After talking to him, head to the beginning of the abbey and he'll tp there, just follow him.
(No, he won't try to molest you)

A little more clarity: The point of ringing the bell is to get the 2 level 72 Elite 'Devout Bodyguard' away from the abbot - you'll pass them on your way to the abbot.

as of right now 8/17/08, if you are a druid make sure you accept this in cow/NE form. Otherwise you will not get the disguise. Also, please /bug this cuz it is stupid for druids.

After trying this a few times and not having him come - I finally exited the abbey - so if he's not coming for you - walk outside of the abbey and he'll pop up.

What he did next made me lawl.

I'm a mage, and I wasn't disguised. It's not letting me speak with abbot. I'm not sure what caused it. I've tried it four times, no luck.

I tried it with a Savory Deviate Delight and it didn't work, so make sure you're not wearing any type of costume.

I can't talk to abbot, i dont know if its bug or something. I've tried abandoned the quest and relogged 3 times and still doesnt works >,<

Ok so I figured it out after abandoning it twice with no success. First the quest isnt really bugged. You have to make sure you have the image buff on yourself before going up to the bell tower. You basically turn into a human mage/lock wearing the old Horde pvp gear and all the mobs become friendly. If you are a druid or shaman make sure you are not in animal form. The first two times I was in ghost wolf form, was able to reaccept the quest but never got the transformation. After getting it, head up to the bell tower and ring the bell. Shortly after, the Bishop's two guards come up and start a dialogue. You can go back downstairs and head into the room and speak to the bishop. After you say goodbye to the bishop, head outside to the entrance of the abbey and he asks you to follow him and the quest will complete soon after.

Ok something was not right with this quest, bascially you need to ring the bell, go down stairs, speak to the High Abbot, walk outside the Abbey wait for him to turn up at the door and follow him down the hill. Hope that helps.

I had to abandon the quest in order to make it work properly, before you go and ring the bell, make sure you get the scarlet priest image buff so that the mobs inside the abbey are friendly and after that you do all the things that the user below said

If you lose your disguise (thus preventing you from talking to the quest mob), just go outside and talk to Agent Skully again. Once she re-disguises you you can talk to the quest mob and hand it in, then walk to the entrance and follow him from there.

talk to agent skully she give you disguise.
Then you go up to the top ring on the bell.
Go down and talk to High Abbot.
Go to the exit of the hall.
Then follow him.
Be careful for Knight, they kan see have disguise on.
Then he talk a little bit and jump down and die.

Make sure you stay by him while he speaks. I was fighting one of the knights nearby and didn't complete the conversation part.

The abbey is the building just next to the quest giver. Climb up to the attic, the bell rope is just above the stand where a raven priest is (73,73). Once rung, go down to the room where 3 elites used to be and speak with the target. He will tell you to wait outside. Walk outside, he will follow, then follow him to a cliff.

You have to stay next to him at the "clif scene". If you are too far you will have to strat quest once again (even if it's not "failed"). I was fighting not far (but it turned too far) when he jumped and wasn't able to finish this quest. When I started again - I had to fight again but I was much closer -> quest complited. So just stay next to him (he is "green" all the time)

had a some problems with this quest, first you have to talk to her after you accepted the quest and say that you need to use the mirror again (it worked the secon time i talked to her).
then its just to go to the top floor and ring the bell and then go down the stays and left and there is high abbot.
talk to him and when you are finished talk say goodbye and go to the entrance and follow him to the cliff and he will jump out of the cliff and then the quest is finished :)

If you are in combat when accepting the quest, you will not gain the costume. You can still ring the bell, but you cannot talk to the Abbot. So, if you fail to gain the costume, fail and retake the quest.

Okay, didnt get any good help from the comments so i guessed my way trough the quest and this is how to make it:

1. Go to Agent Skully, The girl at the backyard of the church (at the Graveyard), talk with her to get the mirror image again!
Note that if DRUIDS are in shapeshift form you gotta unshape first.
Also note that the knights on the horse can see trough your mirror image and these guys is the ones you should watch for.
2. Run into the church, go to the spiral staircase - Run all the way up and ring the bell.
3. Run downstairs, take first left when you're on the first level again and talk with the High Abbout there.
4. Go outside the church and then he should pop up and will tell you to follow him, then follow him ofc.
5. Now he's gonna go somewhere and you're just gonna follow him and then you'll get a big laugh and a done quest!

If you have a flying mount in your hands, you can fly above the building and ring the bell without fighting anything on your way.

Just follow the instructions it tells you to go outside, really easy quest! Just remember to be careful of the Knights (ones on horses) because they can see through your disguise and will attack you.

Isn't it a sin to commit suicide? Sorta ironic that a ranking member of a church would commit a sin of that magnitude. Or maybe because I thought he was going to molest me, I'm looking into it a bit too much.

Hunters make sure to dismiss your pet.

I was unable to talk to the High Abbot, but once I dismissed my pet I was able to talk to him and complete the quest.

So, this quest was a nightmare for me. I was grabbing the quest in flight form on my druid, go through all the killing, ring the bell, run down there, he is red, can't get him to talk. so i dropped quest, did this a couple of times, til I realized up above i had to have a disguise on...maybe its in quest i don't know. wow I am tired of the scarlets at this point lol. :P

whole point of this? DRUIDS don't be in any other form.

As a 72 combat rogue, the first time I tried the quest I attracted a knight on horseback and I hung back and fought him. Because I didn't go with the Abbot I didn't get the conversation part completed.

I went back to Skully and got the disguise, went straight back to the Abbot and was able to talk with him, even though his guards were there. This time, once we were outside, I went in Stealth mode to avoid combat and it worked. Scared me when he said he could see through my flimsy disguise (which wasn't on anymore) but then he kept on and I got the quest complete.

Druids be warned. It is currently bugged when shifting.

Basically you accept the quest in human form and NEVER shift into a form for the complete duration of this quest.

It is also very possible and easy to not need a shift during the process. just avoid anything aggressive and it's a win.

1-Get Scarlet Raven Priest Image, from quest giver
2-Go to top of building to pull the bell.

4-Like he sad, meet at entrance. Follow him and done.

IF your a druid and stealthing before talking to the quest giver YOU MUST BE IN HUMAN FORM! Unless the quest will get bugged.

Very annoying quest. The knights seem to aggro much more easily when you're on this quest -- I had one charge at me from 30+ yards away the second I got outside the door of the abbey. Make sure you stay near the abbot once you get outside with him, and even if you're in combat you can finish the quest. If you get too far from him, you'll have to start it over.

I've just done this with my housemate, in a group; only he could speak to the abbot, and follow him to his demise. When I talked to him, he just said something like, 'Yes, my daughter?' and when I was following my housemate, the abbot didn't appear for me. The objective of the quest counted for me, at least.

Agent Skully at New Hearthglen has asked you to ring the bell in the abbey and then go speak with the high abbot and get information out of him.

Description

We need more information from the high abbot, and now that we have the visage of one of the raven priests, I think we can get you close to talk with him.

Unfortunately, we need to separate him from his bodyguards or you'll never get any information out of him.

I think I've got it! While in disguise, go to the top of the abbey and ring the bell. That should bring the abbot's bodyguards running and you can then head down to speak with him.
