Entrance to the barracks is at 70, 72. Enter then go right, left, left, then on your right should be a staircase to the basement.
Go down and poke away.
Btw, he drops Torturer's Rod.

Mages remove molten armor while doing this or else you will end up branching him million times and wondering why aint u getting it done

If you turture him more then 5 times you will notice he will say 1 of 10 random things.

I've branded the guy like a thousand times, and nothing happens.
Is this quest broken?

EDIT: Just tried it again when I woke up, and then it worked. Hmm.

the basement stairs are right after the Arc after the second left and very easy to miss don't make the same mistake I did and go around in circles forever.

I found that if you got credit for killing him (overenergetic party members, whatever) that you had to abandon the quest and restart it or you'd lever get the "fully questioned" part finished.

What a loser he is, can't take a bit of pain, yet right next to him is a poor forsaken tied to a rack. I thouroughly enjoyed this one. Any reason to torture a Human is a good one. Long live the Horde!

If your a rouge and you stand on 85,54 you can stealth and ambush kill stealth again and it will pop back up and allow you to ambush another one. The spawn rate is like every 5 seconds. so you got some time for a quick bandage. I found this the fastest way for me to kill them unless i was going to go evasion tank, blade fury, killing spree than just spam SS till they die

To find him, before you can go up the stairs to the second floor, to the right, the are some stairs. The color seems to bland in.

I killed him before I tortured him. He respawned within a minute, tortured him and killed him. Did not have to abandon quest.

Don't abandon. It still counts if you kill him first then torture him. Does not have to be in order.

For anyone having trouble, there are two staircases. One of them is obvious and leads up. The one you need it JUST before the room where that staircase is. It's kind of tucked behind the archway.

This building is laid out extremely similarly (possibly identically) to one of the buildings in the Death Knight starting questline. In that questline as in this one, you need to go down a stairwell hidden in plain sight - it's kind of difficult to see, but it's next to the staircase leading upwards.

I can confirm that he still does glitch. I just had an example not even 20 minutes ago. I must have hit him over 15 times, to no avail. I killed him, abandoned the quest, took the quest again, went back and it worked fine.

"Please... stop. I'll do... anything...."

"I beg you... no more."

"OWWWWWWWW!"

"You won't get... anything else... out of me!"

"They all... begged... for their... lives!"

"I TOLD YOU... I don't know... anything... else!"

"Just... end it."

My pet killed him when I had just finished torturing him. I got the credit for torturing, but not the killing, so I had to wait for him to respawn and killed him again. There was no need to abandon the quest.

High Executor Wroth at Venomspite wants you to use the branding iron 5 times on Torturer Alphonse to get the information out of him. After that, kill him.

Description

Enough! I want you to put an end to the torture of my people!

The Onslaught's torturer, Alphonse, has been bleeding information out of everyone that gets caught by those fiends! I need to know what they know.

My sources tell me that he has set up shop in the basement of their barracks, which is right next to the smithy.

I'll loan you my personal branding iron to see to it that the job is done right.

Find him and get that information.
