The only hard part of this quest is finding the Cask of Merlot which is sold by Roberto (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=277) in Stormwind. He's in a corner on the canals.

Gallina Winery - 51, 68 In SW in a corner in canals.
Thunderbrew - 44, 80 Hes up in the eastern hills in westfall...
Rum - 43, 65 Goldshire Inn...(easy)
Moonshine - 73, 44 Take short walk thru Duskwood to get this from the inn in Darkshire. (quickest walk is from redridge...get FP when you get to Darkshire)

Make sure you kill the Harvesters for the needed Hops for thunderbrew...they drop quickly so it should only take 5 min to get the needed 5 for the turn in...

Barkeep Dobbins isn't offering the Rum... I've rechecked his wares like 10 times. Any idea why not?

The Merlot is sold in the Gallina Winery in Stormwind.
The Rum is sold by the barkeeper in the Inn in Goldshire.
The Keg of Lager is given to you by a Dwarf in the Dagger Hills in Westfall after you have finished a quest for him. You must collect 5 Hops (dropped by Mechanical Harvesters and Golems in Westfall) and return to him. This quest is repeatable.
The Moonshine is sold by the barkeeper at the Inn in Darkshire. You can reach Darkshire by going to the Three Corners, then taking the road south. A short/medium walk down the road and you will reach the Inn. Make sure you get the Flight Path while you're there.

In Goldshire i tryed to buy a Rum, but there wasn`t any... i comed back after 2h and look... Rum is here :) so i quess we need to wait for some time to get it.

To save time, do this quest along with the "Messenger to..." series from Magistrate Solomon and The Price of Shoes from Verner Osgood. Solomon sends you to Stormwind, Westfall, and Duskwood to ask for help, while The Price of Shoes has you visit the blacksmith in Goldshire.

Only consider this quest if you have other quests on the way back or to westfall. These could be ''A free lunch (On the way back from Eoewyn forest to Redridge), a messenger to stormwind and the shoes quest. If you want to level fast, quit this quest and go for others. If you want to see the world, do this quest :)

For me, the bulging coin purse had 36s 23c in it. If this is the norm, it's a pretty good reward for running all over the place at level 16.

If you are doing this quest solo, at a lower level or just trying to get it done quickly, you can get to the dwarf in dagger hills by going behind moonbrooke and up into the mountains. There is usually a copper vein on the hill that you want to go up at, otherwise it's near the far corner of the house coming from the main entrance.

This is your typical alliance quest. As many zones as possible with a reward that just doesn't make it worth it. Avoid these types of quests as much as you can if you're aiming to level up fast. You'll kill 10 boars worth the same Xp as this quest in the time it takes you to figure out where to get the first booze.

You want the horde type of quests like: "Bring me 10 bear arses for some random reason", then "bring me 10 big bear arses for an even more obscure reason", followed up by "bring me 10 HUGE bear arses (please don't ask)" and finally the mother of all those bears to round it up.

This quest is a huge waste of time! Given that at this level you have no mount and have to run between towns hoping that the barkeep has the item in stock, which for the guy in Goldshire never did, I finally abandoned the quest and drank the items I was able to purchase.

When I speak with the Barkeeper in Goldshire Inn he has not the RUM in his stuff

Buy the merlot (in SW) from the guy wandering around in the winery. I tried the girl at first and was about to give up until I checked him.

Don't bother helping a friend with this quest by buying the materials for them as some of the items are "quest items" and you cannot trade them after. It's not simple booze apparently. They will have to go get these themselves.

Westfall is the location of Grimbooze Thunderbrew who offers the Keg of Thunderbrew Lager as a reward from the Thunderbew Lager quest. You'll need five Hops for one keg.

Cask of Merlot
Stormwind is the location of Roberto Pupellyverbos <Merlot Connoisseur> who sells the Cask of Merlot.

Bottle of Moonshine
Duskwood is the location of Barkeep Hann <Bartender> who sells the Bottle of Moonshine.

Skin of Sweet Rum
Elwynn Forest is the location of Barkeep Dobbins <Bartender> who sells the Skin of Sweet Rum.

Edit: Yet another now obsolete pre-Cataclysm quest. Curse you Deathwing! Blizzard's reworking of Azeroth for flying means my knowledge of these old quests return to me nostalgically when I'm leveling an alt. At those times I wonder where quests like this one went. And then I come across my own comment I had long forgotten and laugh. The zones just fly by with heirlooms and guild bonuses these days.

Not relevant to the quest, but rather the dialogue, I find it interesting this is one of the few quests that uses the word "hell" in such a context .

the guy still sells the merlot, and it still says quest item, i decided to not buy it, i mean, a penny is still a penny :)

really, the alcohol content is just a joke, anyways, so, probably why it was removed as a quest... "oh, no... were out of wine! heaven's to betsy! HELP! Adventurers!"

If they removed the quest, they should remove the quest items too. I have all four of them but can't do anything with them.

I need you to pick up a keg of Thunderbrew Lager from Grimbooze Thunderbrew in the Westfall hills, a cask of Merlot from Stormwind, a bottle of Moonshine from Darkshire and a skin of Sweet Rum from Goldshire. Bring those back to me and I will see to it you are rewarded.
