You need to first get the Warden's Key from the Warden, near the pink spheres section. (55,40) Then use the Key on Captain Tyralius's Prison at 52,42.

This is extermly easy with flying mount, all u need to do is fly into a little crack next to warden, he goes on a pat pull him alone and then u can fly next to caption and free him without any problems

Correct location of Tyralus's Prison is 53,41.

Warden Key holder coords are correct. Like Crypto said 55,44.

Warden Icoshock drops the . He wanders around the proximity of the Etherium Prison - just go to the prison and youll spot him.

To free Tyralius without aggro, just fly in from behind and unlock the prison :)

for clarifications purposes, he (Captain Tyralius's prison) is NOT with the other prisons. He is closer to where the three pillars are that are channeling lightning into some floating guy.

If you have a flying mount you can drop down at the back of the captain's prison and unlock it without fear of aggroing anything.

The more exact possision of "the Warden" is 54. 39 or hes just outside the fence.

The key doesn't always drop from the Warden, so bring a good magazine and wait for 4+ respawns.

Relatively easy quest, but you have to stay in focus, so you dont overaggro etc. Try to just kill the Lcok in 55.40,and then use it at the big bubble nearby.

Whoever said that this guy pats is full of it. He doesnt move i sat for about 15min and he just sat there and when i went ahead and pulled him all his buddies came with him. Mabye a lock or hunter could kill the guy alone but other wise your gonna need more people to kill the warden. He doesnt have allot of health but its impossible to kill him for the adds...

2. I was shocked when i the "You will recieve 20 gold" down at the bottom. I'm new to lvl 70 so thats right about the point where i went holy crap... gold for xp rocks

What i did was, I dropped down from the road above around (58,37) and walked behind the rocks avoiding most of the mobs.

I spent a while looking for the captain but I couldn't find him, the "confirmed" coords say but those actually put you in a little pool with sludge guys.

He was standing at for me.

Killed Warden 4 times - no key drop. Not in the ring or bags or anything. Not sure what is going on. Two other quests in Netherstorm I tried today did not work as well...

Everything I've read in these comments leads me to believe it is 100% drop rate. Am I wrong?

Repeatable? I just looted the key, then a few minutes later I was still doing a few other quests and saw the Warden up again ... and looted another key. I guess it doesn't really say you can have only one, but most quests only let you loot one quest piece if that's all you need.

'bout to go see if I can free him again and get something for it...

No-go, just freed him again and nothing. Oh well, no big deal, not like I was out to do just this and got screwed ;o)

When i tried to do the quest today, the Warden was bugged. No matter what i did, i was told that he was either too far away or not in front of me - same for one of the two mobs that stand beside him. I had to run away and abandon the quest.

Well I found the warden and killed him three or four times and no key as of yet must be where blizzard got rid of the keys, but, I'm editing this to say I did find the prison it's by itself to the southwest of where the warden is and it does let you open it. Don't know if you have to still kill the warden first because I did kill the warden first. I found the prison at 53.33,41.51

Prison is still at 53.3, 41.4 - he is on a blue/purplish carpet and two glowing blue fire like braziers are located to the left and right - it sits just in front of a large drop off

He is at Ethereum Staging Ground (54,40). He drops the key. See my screenshot for what the area he's in looks like. He is not on any carpet he is just walking around in a kinda fenced off area which has pinkish purple globes in it. Dunno if this is just due to post-patch changes.

You will find the warden within the group of pink orbs or in the close surrounding area. After you kill him you may notice that you did not get a key. However, as based upon a prior comment, I tried to free the captain anyway and I was able to do so.

In case all you see on the carpet where his prison is supposed to be is a green orb you can't press, just sit on the carpet, log out then log in again. Did it like a charm for me.

1. Captain Tyralius
• Accept the quest, Captain Tyralius, from Flesh Handler Viridius at coords 59.2, 32.0 (Protectorate Watch Post).
• Travel southwest, into the Ethereum Staging Grounds, to coords 54.4, 41.2.
• Kill Warden Icoshock, and loot The Warden's Key from its corpse.
• Travel southwest to coords 53.3, 41.4.
• Click on Captain Tyralius' Prison to free Captain Tyralius.
• Travel northeast, to Protectorate Watch Post, to coords 59.2, 32.0
• Turn in the quest to Flesh Handler Viridius.

Flesh Handler Viridius at the Protectorate Watch Post in Netherstorm has asked that you find and free Captain Tyralius.

Description

Captain Tyralius took a platoon of soldiers south towards the Ethereum Staging Grounds 10 days ago. We haven't heard from him or his crew since.

Chances are good that they were ambushed and killed but I'm getting a curious reading from my instruments.

I think it's a distress signal but these things have been wrong before. If Tyralius is still alive, they're keeping him in one of their prisons. You'll have to locate the prison and open it with a key, probably found on the warden.
