Corrosive Codex Powers (Patch 12.1 / Midnight Season 2)

Outdoor / Delve / Prey only (does not work in dungeons, raids, or PvP). Unlock account-wide by spending Corrosive Souls (8 per power) at the Altar of Corrosion. Start with 1 active slot; second slot unlocks after 8 powers. With an alt army, you can unlock these within a few hours. LFR boss gives 3 + vault events give 3. They are warbound transferable.

The system revolves around a poison loop — several powers gain strong bonuses against Poisoned targets or while you yourself are Poisoned. Pair a poison source with a poison payoff for the strongest results.

Offense

Ophidian Maw — Chance on damage to summon a giant snake (split Nature damage). Executes any Poisoned non-boss under 20% health.
Plague of Corrosion — Chance to apply stacking Poison to nearby enemies. Jumps to a new target on death with remaining duration.
Ula'tek's Gift — Chance on harmful abilities to apply 5 stacks of a Nature DoT. While you are Poisoned it applies 10 stacks instead. At 20 stacks it Corrodes and dumps remaining damage. (Recently nerfed ~30%.)
Miasma Geyser — Chance to create a delayed geyser that damages enemies and heals allies (stronger on Poisoned units).

Defense

Virulent Mucus — Entering combat grants 5 layers that each negate one hit exceeding 5% of your max health (low chance to refresh from Poisoned targets).
Lithic Plumage — Chance on taking damage to gain 75% damage reduction up to a cap that scales with nearby Poisoned enemies.
Gorgoneion Gaze — Drop below 50% health → petrify nearby enemies for 10 sec. When they break free they are Poisoned, take DoT, and are slowed.

Utility / Stats / Group

Accursed Poison — Chance to put a long Nature DoT on the strongest enemy that also interrupts its next interruptible cast.
Viperine Grasp — Chance on harmful abilities to pull nearby enemies to your target (more pulls on Poisoned enemies).
Mephitic Cloud — Applies a cloud to allies and enemies: allies’ attacks apply Poison, but enemies’ attacks also heal their targets (generally avoid in groups).
Ouroboric Cycle — Chance to cycle Tertiary → Secondary → Primary stat buffs. Kills extend the cycle; steps last longer while you are Poisoned.
Insidious Venom — Chance in combat to Poison yourself, massively boosting Primary stat while lowering Secondary/Tertiary stats. Main self-Poison enabler.

Early game (1 slot only)

Farming packs → Plague of Corrosion
Hard Delves / survival → Virulent Mucus or Gorgoneion Gaze
General damage → Ula'tek's Gift

Skip / low priority in most group content: Mephitic Cloud (it heals enemies).

Unlock order is flexible and account-wide. Farm souls from Coiled Isle content (Vaults of Atal’Utek, Curse Surges, Prey, Bountiful Delves, etc.), unlock the powers for your preferred combos first, then fill out the rest to open the second slot. You can swap freely at the Altar (also available at the start of Delves).
