If you can't figure which enemies are empowered, don't be like me and going for the super strong rares and elites, instead the empowered enemies can be any mob in the open world.

You can spot them by seeing a colored icon above their head. It can be a green gem, a lavish skull, a red and green orb among other things.

If you're in a group and killing empowered enemies isn't counting for you or granting the achievement, leave the party and go try to kill another mob. It's bugged.

One such empowered enemy with icons over its head could be Warbringer Mox'na, and the two minions it has will also be empowered. You can finish that quest requirement with that one group.

Having an issue where empowered mobs stopped counting at 2/3 while in a group, have not been able to complete the quest even after abandoning, changing world tiers, grouping, ungrouping ect. It now doesnt give me any credit for empowered mobs after abandoning, however, the kills still count towards the 15 normal kills. Stuck at 0/0 on empowered.

This isn't for lower level toons. We tried at 35 with a priest and a warrior and got slaughtered. As an upside there is an achievement - "You weren't prepared" lol.

I managed to do this quest on my BM hunter and Prot paladin as a low level by killing Daggerbeak 3X.

Tried again on my level 22 Bear. Figured it would be fine. Noooo... it was not. Absolutely destroyed. He kept summoning demons which I didn't have the tools/talents to deal with. Gonna wait until a higher level. Ouch.

Edit: Also tried Warbringer Moxna because his pets count as well. It was ugly. Do not recommend, lol.

If you have troubles completing this quest while in party, just ask you high level friend to damage the mob as much as possible and then leave the party, last hit the mob alone, profit.

I am NOT getting credit. I've not been in a group. I just killed Daggerbeak and again (twice) got zero credit! I also killed Capt. Volo'ren (don't think he's empowered), but killed Brawlgoth 3 times and only got credit once! I am doing this as solo Level 34 Vengeance DH, so the fights are kind of long. NOT HAPPY! :(

Edit: I finally got credit for Daggerbeak and another. This must have been hot fixed during in Wow's Version 11.2.5.63906

This quest seem to still not reward you credits all the time, even when you try different situations.

Grouped: Not Always
Un-grouped: Not Always
1/2/3 Orbs: Not Always
Sims/Sauron Eye: Not Always
Elite Vs. Non-Elite: Not Always

Only other question would be, that you aren't permitted to do it with people who has done it - or level demands?

12/09/25 remix Found had to go to to the pointed shieldlike above head on humanoid enemies and not the other types.

Found a good spot for these in Azsuna, waterfront multiple markers (I see an orange arrow down symbol). Tom tom 51.63 / 73.93 area. Stiltshire Crabs and Savage Great Whiltes. They have "Imperious" casted on them.

If you're not a fighter, and having trouble with Empowered Enemies, then take advantage of their own weapons. I.E. go to Felsoul Hold, take down one of the demons who man the cannons (with ammo), and shoot down the helbats.

Empowered Helbats count toward this achievement, and can be taken out with ease: one shot and no return-attacks.

Then you just need to take down the demon manning the cannon, and they're pretty easy.
