Anyone know where and how I can get this quest? It says it starts in Silvermoon but he only offered Midnight: World Tour. I am assuming I have to complete that or some other quest(line) for this one to become available?

If you're not able to start this quest (or the associate line) fret not!

It's not available yet. It will start when the season starts (March 17th).

as of today the first part of this Foothold is ready and able to be done. not sure about the rest of it, but foothold is available today.

At the time of writing this, the quest “Feeding the Flame” is very poorly designed.

The issue is with War-Chaplain Senn, who applies the required buff through a single-target cast. That might work in theory, but when you have a large group of players stacked around the NPC, it turns into an unnecessary bottleneck.

It took me roughly 20 minutes just to receive the buff.

There’s no indicator of who is next, no queue system, and no explanation for how the NPC decides who gets the buff. Players are just standing there hoping they get randomly selected.

This is a simple design problem with simple solutions:
• Allow players to receive the buff by interacting with War-Chaplain Senn through dialogue, or
• Change the buff to an AOE cast that applies to everyone nearby.

Right now it’s just a crowd of players waiting around an NPC for a random single-target cast, which doesn’t feel like gameplay — it just feels like wasted time.

“Feeding the Flame” needs a redesign.

For those like me that are playing on an alt and leveled up to 90 by doing side quests, world quests, dungeons or other methods, and haven't done any quest from the campaign, you will not see this quest available at Lor'themar Theron. What you need to do is click the Scouting map behind him (in Sanctum of Light) and select the quest War of Light and Shadow from top left corner. Go to Lady Liadrin near the Sunwell, talk with her and select "Skip the level-up campaign and begin the max-level campaign", finish the quest and you will be given the next quest from the max level campaign The Devouring Citadel.

Strange that this quest only appears as Horde only here on Wowhead... same quest for the Alliance if Im correct.

If you do the Raid Quests before doing Feeding the Flame, like I did, this quest completely bricks. Sunwell is covered in hostile void enemies and orbs that beam you. If you're fortunate enough to avoid them all Commander Venel Lightblood will phase out upon request to Spar.

You cannot progress the quest in Party Sync so for now this quest is undoable on my main character.

I was finally able to complete this problematic quest with some help from a guildmate.

First, I synchronized with a Paladin to reach the area where Liadrin is waiting without having to worry about the Darkwell.
I then used a Paladin bubble to stay alive long enough to turn in the quest before being phased out to the darkwell.
With the help of the bubble and the addon Questful, I was able to turn in the quest and accept the follow-up from Liadrin in the Darkwell phase.
Questful was instrumental for because it helped me to be fast enough before meeting the spirithealer.

One NPC may phase out too quickly to progress the quest, but I was lucky and didn’t need to interact with him. I probably did so earlier before finishing the raid.
Maybe someone else has a usefull suggestion for that part.

The follow-up quest in Netherstorm was also out of phase, and Turalyon was not present. However, with another quest synchronization, I managed to complete the entire storyline.

This method might not work for everyone, but I hope it helps some of you.

If your quest is bugged/bricked because your Sunwell turned into the Darkwell, abandon the quest while away from the sunwell and go take it again, it fixed it for me.

Hmm.. This quest showed up AFTER I completed the Midnight Storyline and after I checked in with Lor'themar. Not sure what good it is.
