Now, I'm not sure if every other spot is like this, as I had no trouble doing anything prior to this one, but be aware that this place is considered a Battle Ring and any and every enemy creature in a much larger aggro radius will attack you on sight. Enemies are simply drawn to you, so be cautious when solo and avoid fighting monsters around the Keyflame; there's at least a couple lower elites and a larger corruptor wandering around that will aggro on you if you pull anything nearby.

Doing this as a shadow priest solo was a total nightmare, so I highly recommend a group - or at least get some people to do it together, specially on lower item levels. The only way I could do it (with some struggle) was approaching the shore to the southwest until the Battle Ring effect went off. There, I pulled corruptor mobs one by one without having to worry about getting random aggro.

This is definitely overly tuned, which shows (again) how little this was tested. The mobs really hit a lot and the area is currently roamed by at least 7 large elites, each with about 8 Million HP and hitting for 1.2-1.8 Million per hit, basically 3-shotting you.

Absolutely nightmarishly terrible quest. First of all, the minimap marker for the area the quest covers is EXTREMELY wrong. You actually only get maybe 15% of that area, move around the other 85% and you fall out of the quest zone. But you think that's bad? Oh ho ho, you foolish fool. How about the insanely overturned shadow mobs that cast CONSTANT pools on the ground you need to move away from but the mob also leashes if you move anywhere near the water line, or up the hill, or down the beach away from the previously mentioned 15% of the area you're allowed to do the quest in so have fun fighting these overtuned mobs, blowing cooldowns and having it evade out and leash because your toe came within 15 meters of the water. Oh and I still haven't mentioned the part where enemies here will just randomly target and aggro onto you from 40+ yards for no reason, even through stealth

People keep saying the ore delivery quest in Ringing Deeps is the worst WQ but they are wrong, that one is actually simple and fast if you use the action button to stabilize. This turd however? There is no redeeming it.

So all week I have had this quest at 100%, but it will not auto complete. Super frustrating after grinding out all the mobs only to have this happen.

What an absolute MESS this Keyflame area is.

Extremely tiny, compact area filled with elites.
Very easy to accidentally step outside the area and not get credit for kills.
Mobs constantly evade and reset.
No logic as to why some mobs count and others don't.
Tons of high damage ground AoE causing you to move and constantly aggro other elites.
Incredibly fast respawns compared to other keyflames for some unknown reason.

Want to know why nobody is ever doing this Keyflame? Because there's NO reason to bother with this particular Keyflame unless you really, really want to punish yourself for a few Resonance Crystals. There's not even any Lesser Keyflame nearby that spawns a weekly quest giver for reputation like all the other keyflames.

Is the Sentry Flame item even useful for anything? Does so little damage and applies no buff to you or debuff to those shadow elementals, it's so useless is like a bad joke.

Well, after a month of playing this area, it's clear Blizzard wanted it to be engaged in 2 ways:

-With a group

-When solo, using the items being sold by the NPCs spawned by the lesser keyflames. The items I recommend buying are Darkstem Stew, Bag of Angry Fungus, Big Cat Whistle; you can also buy Charm of the Flame, Sentry Flame Launcher, and Dauntless Strike Flare (this last one for Faded Shore area).
Angry fungus and Cat whistle are specially important because they will serve as mini-tanks to take aggro off so you can focus on nuking packs of mobs down, specially those elite purple bas#$%^& (just be mindful the lynx has a 5min timer and the angry fungus has a 1min cd).

Also, if you have a decent ilvl don't worry about standing on the purple puddles left by the elite mobs, that damage is negligible; the main danger comes from the direct attacks by the elite purple bas@#$%^, specially because several can suddenly spawn close by or on top of you if you're already dealing with other mobs. Hope this helps.

This one is very difficult even for a geared tank (guardian druid) as others have pointed out it is nonstop aggro by elites.
I had to sit in one place and eat the dark swirls on the ground so as to not aggro everything else and even then mobs come running from all around.

When I finally got the event done and the achievement Sharing the Light i still could not stop fighting and had to run away pulling 20 mobs just to stop the onslaught.

Will never do this one again now that I have the achieve.

Since the weeks have passed, and there's plentiful Champion / Hero gear from lvl 8 delves, this quest is much more easily soloable. ilevel 610 prot pally - it was kinda annoying having to move out of shadow pools (and recast consecration), but health never dipped below 80%, and quest was complete in about 5-6 minutes. Might still be tough for dps or healer classes - not sure.

I just managed to complete this part of the achievement, however, I had to logout at the bleak sand place itself, then when I logged back in I got the achievement.
