Iskaaran Fishing Net is one of Iskaaran fishing gear. To craft it you need to earn renown rank 5, pick up the quest from Tavio Iskaaran Fishing Net and collect 2 parts:

Strong Sea Kelp x3 - can be found all along Iskaara shore only during the quest.
Stone With Hole x2 - can be found mostly to the north of Iskaara only during the quest.

Various Iskaaran fishing gear blueprints unlock as you earn more renown with Iskaara Tuskarr.
You can craft them visiting Tavio in Iskaara, coordinates are 12.82 49.17.
Every gear required different materials you can find across the Azure Span. This system is similar to The Ascended crafting.

If the creation of the item wants you to use it on something, target yourself and it should work. Thanks to Hyphie on the official forums figuring that out.

Currently stuck on not being able to complete this quest because the quest didnt register me crafting the net, seems like one of the items i picked up wasn't actually registered, and the recipe is removed once 1 net is crafted

I must have lost the item. Where do I get another one? Can't get one from the quest giver and abandoning quest doesnt help.

Fixed an issue where players were unable to craft a Fishing Net for "Iskaaran Fishing Net" if it was abandoned.

What's the benefit on placing nets?
I never got to open any of the 2 spots. after the 10 hours.
Do we get fish? Rep? was someone able to collect them or something after the 10 hrs?

Having trouble completing quest? I noticed that I could craft it as I had collected the mats, just wasn't getting credit for it. Crafting it completed the quest and I was able to turn it in.

Note: The item is not actually an item in your inventory ... at least it wasn't on either character that I have gotten the nets for so far. Even though the chat will tell you, if you click on the item name when it appears in the chat as you are awarded it, that it is "bind on pick up", I received no item on either character. However, I can still place nets at the net slots.

For some reason I couldn't find a third Strong Sea Kelp. Abandoning the quest and picking it up again, immediately gave me all the reagents.

I’ve done this quest on three alts so far and had problems every time. I picked up all the materials and each time I was short one of something with nothing left to pick up. If this happens you can just abandon the quest and pick it back up from the quest giver. The mats stay in your bag, so you’ll be able to immediately complete, or pick up the last item and complete, I’ve had both scenarios happen.

If anyone gets stuck, i was at 2/3 kelp, and couldn't find anymore. I abandoned and required the quest and I had 3/3 already in inventory and could craft the net. Weird. This happened on live on one of my alts. Try that if you get stuck.

You need Renown 5 with Iskaara + complete "Tuskarr Fishing Gear" given by Rowie.

I was confused when all the items disappeared as if I were finished (and I was), but the turn in NPC would not let me turn in. I abandoned and nothing new appeared for me to pick up over again. I checked my bags and the items to be collected were there and still I could not turn in the quest. The turn-in NPC has a selection "I'd like to obtain or improve Iskaaran fishing gear.", so I selected that to read or check.
Suddenly a profession window popped up with a selection to create the net from the mats I had collected in the quest. I feel rather humbled, but I imagine others will be confused as well.
Once the net was crafted, the quest completed.

This is a super buggy quest, but not hard to fix fortunately...
You get sent out to find the 3 seaweed and 2 stones.
You get back and talk to the quest person, open their dialogue, and craft the net.
However, credit doesn't get awarded.
Just go back out and collect another complete set of items and recraft the net.
The second time around it will credit the quest.
Across 20 toons it's done this all but twice.

This happened to me twice now. The quest failed to register all three strong kelp picked up even though I had them in my inventory. Kept coming back the first time before finally being able to complete it, but don't remember the key that worked. This time, I made the net first and the quest would not complete. Had to abandon and try again. Again the third kelp failed to register but abandoning the quest this time, before making the net, allowed everything to register.

I always went for the first two kelp by the dock west of the inn then the next one opposite the dock. Skipping that one and getting another farther away allowed the quest to complete like normal. Only time that's happened for me our of 6-7 tries.

The crafting part was bugged, it kept opening rune forging for me.

I restarted the game and could create the net.

just checking the achievement Cutting Tusk Equipment and despite having made the net many months ago i dont have credit for having done so....and now that ive made the harpoon i dont have credit for it either...neither item is something you can make again....so what now

Have never been able to complete this quest. Currently have all items in my bag, when I click create my cursor grays out and nothing happens. Have repeatedly abandoned and picked the quest back up, same result. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
