Hi all

On This WQ You need to use on 5 Frogs Captivating Cap, to make it work You need to take them HP under 50% then use Captivating Cap. Best place to do WQ is cave /way 38.73 94.41 under waterfall,

This WQ is pretty messed up. I expect it was inspired by the Hats on Pigeons that went on in Reno. Glad to see there is some dark humor still allowed... for now.

I had a #(@* of a time trying to find where this WQ was. Every time I'd fly to the location, the map would switch, and so would the target location.

It's just northeast of the Emberwatch FP in Ohn'ahran Plains, at the bottom of the waterfall. Good luck!

This quest is great fun when there's a dreamsurge in the area making you randomly one shot the mobs

If your inventory is full, you do not get the Captivating Cap, that you need to do this quest.

Literally had to remove my character's gear except her weapon to be able to do this quest.

Really wish Blizzard would stop making these types of quests.

Possibly a reference to the game Battleblock Theatre, which, though about cats taking prisoner a shipwrecked boatload of friends, is about an (evil) hat and after you finish a level, a meter shows how "Famous" you are.

Another quest that will show the difference between players who actually pay attention, and to those who just spam rotation macros.

It's surprising how many players just fall apart when the game asks them to do more than stand in place and spam rotation.

Dreamsurge Thorncloak makes this way more frustrating to do than it should be, since the frogs kill themselves in about two or three hits after 50%.

No, you shouldn't have to pay attention to what is essentially a virtual chore, we just want to do the thing and get the easy gold and actually do content that is fun.

Had to remove half my gear to ilvl ~300 in order for me to not kill too fast. then it works like a charm. use lamest spells.

Beware of your dreamsurge buffs. Some buffs do heavy damage and one-shot frogs. You cannot remove your dreamsurge buffs. Be patient and keep trying, sometimes there is no proc and you succesfully manage to keep the frog alive for the hat.

Time to do away with the 'weaken the mob' type quests. I killed far more mobs with unfortunate procs during the Dreamsurge than I needed overall for the WQ. Pair that with too many others competing for frogs, and it seriously sucks.

If you are overpowered, try using a Soft Foam Sword.
This works on most trivial NPC's.

The other option is to remove weapons and armour to reduce your damage.

I don't mind having to weaken enemies before tossing a thing on 'em as much as I do running into the quest for what I'm pretty sure is the first time and having no indication that you need to weaken them for said quest.
