1. Click on Taivan, the giant beast right next to the quest giver, to brush him:

/way #2023 61.2 40.0 Taivan

2. Then click the pelt right across from him (https://imgur.com/a/Rs7jDDh), and put it on Taivan.

3. Talk to Taivan.

4. Turn in at /way #2023 71.4 49.6 Hunter Jadar

P.S. Subsequent quests in this quest chain give reputation in addition to XP.

this quest requires you to have completed all the campaign quests in the zone for some reason

You can pick this up after handing in Chasing the Wind, which is about two thirds through the Ohn'ahran Plains story campaign.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Taivan's Purpose. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of Ohn'ahran Plains which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Quests in order I done:

1. The Trouble with Taivan - Quest start after i finish campain quests, You start from Healer Selbekh 61.17 39.97. First You need to press on Taivan to brush it, then pick up Pelt Bundle /way 61.16 39.74 on ground
and place on Taivan, then speak with Taivan and go 71.46 49.59
2. The Hunting Hound - Speak with Taivan then slay 5 beast.
3. Part of a Pack - Slay Ravenous Proto-Drake He is flying i Found him /way 75.23 49.89
4. Try Again, Taivan! - Go back to Healer Selbekh 61.17 39.97
5. The Gentle Giant - Speak with Taivan then go 49.06 41.04
6. Shaping a Shepherd - Speak with Taivan then go to Aylaag Argali mark them and use extra bar on 3 of them, then again go to Aylaag Argali and using extra bar push them to Pen 49.54 41.52 ( you just need to push 1 of them :D ).
7. Reign of the Ram - Go to Stubborn Ram 49.54 39.69 and use extra bar then beat it to 20-30%hp.
8. Danger in Daruukhan - First speak with Teerai Messenger then go 52.80 29.87
9. Saving Centaur - Ok on this Quest You need to Rescue injured centaurs. You can only do it when Taivan have nothing to do ( every time you press to save some one You need wait to save another until Taivan will finish with 1st task ) as well Centaurs cover by beams of wood need to be remove first then You can rescue them.

10. Homeward Hound - Speak with Taivan then conversation will start then you will get supoer fast transport to village.
11. Taivan's Purpose - Go to speak with Chimei 61.81 38.59 then speak with him one more time, then wait until quest finish xD. After this quests storyline finish. You will get Taivan's Trumpet.

For those attempting to do this quest on a second character (as this will naturally be available on your first leveled character, since you must do the campaign at some point):

You MUST complete the ENTIRE campaign in Ohn'ahran Plains in order to access this quest, and to therefore get the Sojourner achievement via that character. I had completed every side quest in the zone except this one, and couldn't find out how to access it at all, until I realized that it was because I hadn't completed the campaign. I would check back after each advancement of the campaign, to no avail. Only after I completed the very last campaign quest for the zone, 'Renewal of Vows,' was this accessible to me.

I do believe this to be a bug, and one I've submitted to Blizzard, as an alt shouldn't be required to complete the campaign quests to access side quests for an achievement (though one should probably still complete the campaign for the speedy renown).
