To retrieve the fragment from the avian, stand on the cliff and wait for it to fly over you. Not the highest cliff, the one at a slightly lower elevation as the avian.

TIP: If you partially compete this quest and log out, you may have to abandon and redo it to make all 3 goals clickable.

Details:
I did the rubble one and had to log out for the night. The next day, I was able to get the second one from Xarenak the Soulstealer, but I couldn't get the 3rd one to spawn (Thieving Proto Avian). I left and came back trying to trigger the quest scripting, but no luck. Abandoned and reaccepted quest and the Avian immediately spawned.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 News from Oribos	Speak with Uther the Lightbringer cinematic will start
2 Enlisting the Enlightened	Speak with all Elders then w8 until conversation finish.
3 Forging Unity from Diversity	Move to 56 57.
4a Remnants of the First Ones	Get 3 items: Conduction Remnant drop from Xarenak the Soulstealer 53 59, Conduction Remnant pres 5 times on Piled Rubble 52 51 then pick up item, Conduction Remnant get from pressing at bird Thieving Proto Avian 54 49.
4b Reclaiming Provis Esper	Kill 2 Reality Breacher, 5 Soul-Parched Gorger and 20 Insatiable Mite.
6 The Pilgrim's Journey	Go to 61 51 to speak with Elder Ara.
7 Glow and Behold	You will get radar more green will come the closer you are ( platform 64 53 ) press on Ancient Translocator then pick up Conduction Remnant.
8 Where There's a Pilgrim, There's a Way	Speak with 3 NPC one by one: 61 51, 61 49, and last in same location 61 49.
9 In the Weeds	Go to 48 75.
10a Nip It in the Bud	You need to kill The Cultivator He is inside cave/bulding. To get inside first go 49 77 and press on roots to remove them then press on lock to open doors. Get inside and go 61 73 to Kill The Cultivator.
10b Pluck from the Vines	Free 5 Enlightened Pilgrim all inside cave
10c Root of the Problem	get from drop 65 Energized Roots from monsters best go inside cave
13a Unchecked Growth	Pick up 12 Replicating Essence from Overloaded Protector the bodies are strewn around.
13b Take Charge	Discharge 2 Creation Catalyst: 51 91 and 44 88
13c Herbal Remedies	Slay 6 Carnivorous Overgrowth and 30 Sentient Overgrowth, after finis quests 13a-c cinematic will start.
16 Flora Frenzy	Kill mobs until 100%. You can use spell from extra bar is making a lot of dmg.
17 Key Crafting	Jump on General Draven then press Creation Catalyst Console after that speak with Elder Ara to start. On sonsole will pop up symbols, around you have 6 symbols, you need to press on same. After pressing on few symbols pick up Conduction Remnants
18 The Pilgrimage Ends	Go to 64 53 after conversation speak with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon cinematic will start.

I completed "Remnant of the First Ones" but didn't accept "Reclaiming Provis Esper" because my quest log was full. So when I turned in "Remnant of the First Ones", Elder Ara NPC vanished before I could talk to the NPC again to get "Reclaiming Provis Exper"! How do I complete this quest line now?
