Kel'Thuzad is inside, not at the entrance like the quest marker indicates.

Im currently sitting here looking at an Orange named Kel Thuzad who wants nothing to do with me at honored with The Undying Army on this 7th step in the Necrolord Campaign starting with House of Rituals. Just sitting here thats all...

Probably for the good of the mission, but I was slightly disappointed that Kelly didn't react to me having Mr. Bigglesworth at my side.

Vault of Souls entrance is at 71.0, 28.5. It says he is by the entrance but he is inside in the middle so just run inside. Additionally make sure you have your disguise on. Looks like a skull in your buffs.

Edit: Warlock pet does not trigger the sentry

Make sure you have your disguise on. You have to use it before you go in. It will show up on your extra action bar. I am an idiot.

Coming back now to finish this campaign with alts, I noticed there's a different text upon talking to Kel'Thuzad when my warrior had his weapon equipped.

"That is certainly an interesting armament you carry, acolyte.

I trust you're not contemplating a change in vocation?"

It changed back when I removed my weapon, but it made it stop and laugh. Oops! <hides weapon>

Description

Now that you have your disguise--and I have assurance of your loyalty--it is time you reported to your new master. Find Kel'Thuzad within the Vault of Souls. Do whatever tasks he requires of you, but keep your eyes open for anything untoward. My oculus will continue to accompany you so that I can provide guidance when the time is right. We will uncover this new baron's true intentions.
