If you don't use an addon or macro for coords, when you're in Vale you can usually find two Crystallized Void below the large tentacles (that can't be attacked) in the highlighted quest area,

Currently completed (week 1) in Vale, these are found around the bases of the large tentacles around the lake between the shrines. There are between 1 and 3 around the base of each tentacle and more than enough to complete the quest.

With flying you can avoid many of the mobs and just fly down above the shards, click, mount, fly up.

Edit: When found in Uldum (week 2), these are just strewn around the grass. I found them in the grass North-East of Ramkahen between the edge of the corruption and the rivers edge, in among all the portals and void creatures. A little more difficult to avoid pulling anything but easy to avoid pulling the large patrolling faceless mobs.

Note that these were a lot more visible and they may have turned the glow around them up to make them easier to see. They were also sporadic, some singular and some in nearby groups of 2-3. Still a very easy quest, just a lot closer to the quest giver.

For some reason (at least for me) the quest indicator wanted me to go back to where I first got the egg for the turn-in. Don't do that, return to the questgiver at 55 35

I'm on the 2nd Uldum assault, which is the whole west half of the zone, and I just flew around the entire assault area. Not one single giant tentacle sticking out of the ground.

Can someone tell me why, when you open the quest to see where it takes place all you get is "Take the portal from Magni's encampment to Zuldazar" getting to Zuldazar it's "Take the portal from Halls of Ancient Paths to Orgrimmar" where it becomes "Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Jade Forest"? First of, that's stupid considering I'm already in Uldum with a direct portal to Orgrimmar, second: I just want to know where the quest is!
This is not an addon-thing (it doesn't matter if they're deleted, disabled or activated, it's the same thing) and it doesn't matter if the show quest objectives is toggled on or off (the only difference being if they show where Magni's emcampment/Halls/Den is).

And yes, this is a thing for every single fricking quest these days. Why tf?

This quest must be completed where the current N'Zoth assault is. The directions given by the quest aren't clear because which zone is under attack by N'Zoth can vary.

The N'Zoth attack will be the one with the Ny'alotha raid entrance for the week (and all the eyeballs, obv).

If you're having trouble spotting them, fly down when you see void cracks on the ground and you can usually find 2-3 of them along those.

The easiest way to explain this; is to look for the black/purple cracks on the ground and 75% you'll get lucky and there won't even be mobs there to deal with. Just fly down grab it and go. I only went into combat twice through that whole quest.

They're very little clusters of blue crystals (with sparkle) and often found around the base of those big swaying tentacles with the disgusting eyeball swiveling around on the ground. Found all of mine that way in a few minutes.

Trying to complete this in shadowlands pre-patch but haven't found any anywhere is this still doable?

In Uldum this requires Assault: The Black Empire to be active, although you can still do it after you've completed the objective.

The crystals only spawned in Uldum for me when the assault was active in the middle (main) area. None to be found when the purple zone is east or west.

They were everywhere in the Vale though.
