After paying your Darkmoon Game Token to Jessica Rogers to start the game you are put into the mini-game interface for the ring toss.

You have ten purple bars above the interface showing how many tries you have left. By pressing 1 you bring up a target to where you want to throw your "unbalanced throwing ring." You have to aim at Dubenko <The Darkmoon Turtle>, who will amble about randomly. You have to hit Dubenko three times to get credit for Ring Toss, but luckily your successful landings carry over, because this one is pretty luck based.

... I swear I'm hit capped!

You will need a Darkmoon Game Token to play any Darkmoon Games.

You can earn a token by turning in a quest, or you can simply buy 20 tokens for 1g 92s at level 85 (1g80s if you're exalted from before or if you're a goblin) by buying the Sack'O Tokens !
The price of the sack depends on your level (57s 60c to a player level 67 for example) !

These tokens are used to play the following games :

- It's Hammer Time
- The Humanoid Cannonball (obtainable achievement : Blastenheimer Bullseye)
- He Shoot, He Scores! (obtainable achievement : Quick Shot)
- Tonk Commander
- Target: Turtle

I was standing in the booth and the game kept complaining I need to be in the booth to throw. The only way I could throw was to make my camera more on level of the ground (like first person perspective) instead of looking from high up straight at the turtle. Not sure if this is intended or a glitch.

Also, I could not exit the "throwing vehicle" but had to throw the remaining rings to be able to exit (completed quest with 5 or 6 throws).

This one actually was the easiest / fastest. Trick here is to stand in the front RIGHT corner of the toss area (pressed right up against the fence), then point your camera directly down. You should be able to see the turtle entirely or some portion of it....then press "1". Got 3 hits in a row immediately.
Note that if you can't see the turtle enough.....then repeat above from the front LEFT corner.

Hitting the turtle with a ring has a chance of proccing the Cauterizing Flame from healing priest T12 4 piece bonus.

Unlike most dailies, the dailys for the booth games give absolutely no experience. Which is why you get no gold from completing them.

You can't level up your lowbies by doing these dailys.

EDIT: Now in 5.0.4, although they still give no experience, they count as level appropriate quests for 60,000 guild exp each time you complete them.

It is much easier to "ring" the pole if you place yourself so that you are looking down from above the tent rather than across from under the tent.

I have Bartender and button "1" is assigned to other skill. When I press "1" nothing happens. So frustrating. I have "Use Blizzard Vehicle Bar" option enabled. Anyone knows how to work around it?

Patch 6.1 adds a new achievement, Triumphant Turtle Tossing. To complete Triumphant Turtle Tossing, you will need a perfect 10/10 score on the Target: Turtle given by Jessica Rogers during the Darkmoon Faire.

To play the game, you will need 1 Darkmoon Game Token.

Your reward is the Toy Box item: Darkmoon Ring-Flinger.

In 6.1 there is an achievement associated with this quest: Triumphant Turtle Tossing
Don't need to have Target: Turtle but will need 1 Darkmoon Game Token to try.

So basically, the at least doubled the cast time on throwing the ring, they made the targeting reticule smaller, and the turtle moves more (and faster). This used to be fairly simple and now it's bordering on impossible.

Admittedly, they needed to make it harder since they added the achievement to get 10 in one try, but this is ridiculous.

Pretty easy to get the 10 consecutive achievement. It always pauses at dead center. Just wait to see where the pause is, and aim there. Start casting the ring toss as soon as the turtle gets to the end of its pathway before it turns around, by the time it's turned around and come back your ring will be on its way. Repeat 10 times, WIN!

If anyone else is having problems with target turtle, I found an answer in the Blizz bug reports. The purple bars that show how many rings you have left are stretched almost to the top of the screen. Could not see anything. Suggestion was to turn off all of your add on's. It worked!

The turtle travels in an 'X' pattern, aim for the middle, when he reaches an edge of the X throw just as he starts running back to the center.

The first thing I do is turn around and then swivel my camera, zoomed out, so I am looking down on the ring the turtle is in. He always walks slowly to another spot, then turns around and goes quickly back to the beginning spot. The spot he returns to is always the same. Target your ring for this spot, and throw it just as he turns around. This is actually the easiest of the Darkmoon Fair dailies once you know the trick.

EASIEST WAY BESIDES WAITING FOR TURTLE TO COME CLOSE TO THE FENCE

1. Put your mouse on point where turtle runs to (he runs to the same point every time)
2. Wait for him to patrol towards the outside of the ring
3. The SECOND the turtle turns around THROW THE RING on that center point where your cursor was
4. Repeat

It's better to throw the ring a smidge earlier when you anticipate he's going to turn, better to be earlier than late in this case.

anyone else notice it seems like now there's a slight delay between when you click to throw the ring
and when it releases (almost like your toon is winding up to "pitch it")

unless it's just my Worgen (either in human or wolf form) that is a little slow :)

i had to throw it a slight bit before the turtle even did the turnaround.

If you have trouble getting the ring (you can pick up the quest but can't start tossing the rings), abandon your other Darkmoon Faire mini-game quests and the racing quest if you have them in your log.
