Not sure, but I think this is bugged in live.

I just turned in "Taking the Battlefront" where Sylvanas tells you to speak to Godfrey.

As soon as I turned in the quest he phased in and then right back out.

I managed to get the quests from the guys following someone else, however after I was finished there was no one to turn them into. I've also been stuck in combat for an hour and even a forced reboot doesn't solve it, so I can't fly away and come back as was suggested in the pre-quest. I think you have to be out of combat for them to appear.

*edit* I managed to get out of combat and they appeared.

The irony of Lord Godfrey asking you to purge an Alliance village shouldn't be lost on the Forsaken nor other Undead, who themselves often are subject to "purging" on account of their, well, undead-ness. Of course, Culling of Stratholme being the most famous.

For those that are having problems getting this quest (ie level 85 players) get off your mount and walk over to the front lines. The quest givers will appear and you will have three more quests to attend to.

Could someone please tell me which of these buildings is the inn. I've been running round for over half an hour torching everything I can, but I don't get credited for the Inn :(

Contrary to what wowhead states, this quest's series does not start with this quest or Taking the Battlefront . Given the lore (as I remember it) I suspect you have to start with quests at the Forsaken High Command (in northern Silverpine Forest)

Use the Bundle of Torches to torch the Pyrewood Town Hall, Pyrewood Inn and Pyrewood Chapel.

Description

The attacks against our front are a distraction. With our attention turned towards the worgen onslaught, the Alliance has managed to take Pyrewood Village from our occupying forces.

<Godfrey hands you a bundle of torches.>

It must be purged.

With these torches we will burn Pyrewood Village to the ground, leaving only ashes for the enemy to hide behind.

Let us not waste another minute. Pyrewood Village is located southwest of the Forsaken Front. Lead us there, <name>.
