Maybe I'm just super, duper unlucky in timing, but two nights in a row of doing dailies and killing rares, the eggs have not spawned in. I tried two different servers, not connected, and they simply did not spawn in. Edit: just after typing this, an egg spawned in. Figures, lol.

The respawn of the egg is about 15 minutes. You can loot it several times a day. I farmed at point /way 56.2 27.3by changing servers.

Twice tonight, the eggs simply despawn when clicked on. No loot at all. RIP Glimmer of Cunning.

- Can be looted multiple times every day.
- Respawn time I can't say for sure what it is or how it works but it doesn't seem to be a set exact amount of time between each spawn, usually a few minutes.
- Never seen any spawn that is not on the map here on this page, so probably only 4 spawn points one of which is in the room where you would find Mother Phestis.
- I've had 2 up at the same time a few times and I think this happens when nobody picks the first one up so it forces another one to spawn after a while which could potentially mean that there can be 4 up at once.
- Glimmer of Cunning seems from my experience to be a low chance, 3% is probably accurate.
- Realmhopping works really well if you wish to farm it that way, just try to not annoy smaller groups too much. I usually just join the world boss since it's automatic invite and no one
really cares too much.

My theory on how it despawns is that it works like herbing/mining nodes, it despawns after a short amount of time after the first person has clicked on it and if someone gets to the egg towards the end of that short amount of time they will get the "there is no loot" message after clicking it and get nothing. It will look like the egg just despawns right in front of you.

ok so, Ive been flying around for 25 min now, and no egg spawn? changed spawntimer?

So I started to farm this eggs and I noticed that during the day they were spawning a lot more often cause late at night when no one was playing I had 1 egg spawned in 5 hours and I was checking both Warmode Off and On. I think there is something that triggers their spawn. Maybe the rare Mother Phestis has something to do with it, so if you are farming them I would suggest killing her every time she spawns.

Also a tip for farming these annoying eggs:
Have 3 characters on Warmode On and 3 characters on Warmode Off (remember to have the research unlocked or you won't get the Cunning item otherwise)
Now you can pick the Egg on one character then Alt+F4 and log back in on another character and loot the same Egg again then again Alt+F4 and log on your third character. There is just barely enough time to loot the same Egg on 3 characters before it dispawns.
Disable most of the addons and set view distance to minimum to make the loading screen faster (and obviously you should have WoW on your SSD >_<)

i'm pretty sure these are connected to killing tarachnids and/or the hatchlings. i spent over an hour, checking all 4 spawns every few minutes, with nothing, but they started spawning shortly after i realized i could also be spending that downtime killing all the regular tarachnids for the lattices i need. i also killed the hatchlings for genesis motes. as soon as i got all my tarachnid lattices and went back to being semi-afk, the egg spawns stopped again.

eta: also, sometimes the eggs have respawned and are lootable, but the vignette doesn't show up on the minimap. not sure if there's a timer preventing the glimmers from being looted during this downtime.

If you are a shaman, you can sit at /way 60, 42/ and kill the Thieving Raptora* for Genesis Motes and use Far Sight to check all 4 spawn points. Have Lightning shield up and the bird will be killing itself while you are checking.

*Note: you have to stand on the very far edge, almost falling off and it will spawn immediately after dying.

At this point, I can safely assume one of the following statements to be true (also, when I say 'chest', I mean all manner of lootable chest-like objects in the zone):

1: The spawns are broken.
2: The eggs spawn much like the OG Time Lost Proto Drake, that is, it's not a set timer, it's a random time on a random day.
3: ~~Eggs replace a spawned chest. When chests spawn in for the first time of the day, eggs might spawn in instead.~~ I think I've ruled this one out.
3A: Eggs are a weekly, random spawn.
4: There is a phasing issue that makes it impossible to loot eggs.

Here are other things I've noticed:

Once you loot the chests in Endless Sands, they do not respawn. I have flown around the entirety of Zereth Mortis for hours, looting chests everywhere and most often looting chests that I had already looted just a few mins prior. However, in the desert area, chests do NOT respawn (update: I will mention one did respawn, but I'll detail that below).

Killing spiders over and over did not result in eggs spawning, likewise, killing spooder mommy did not make any spawn.

Looting all the chests in the zone did not cause eggs to spawn in.

I have not seen eggs in nearly two weeks since I went back to farm the glimmer they drop. I went there one day, found a spawned egg, looted it and have not seen any since.

As I'm writing this, I have spent four hours in Zereth Mortis, far longer than I ever have, not a single egg spawned.

-Update-

Shortly after I wrote this, I took a break. I went back about two hours later to see if any of this info still held up. I found two of them, but here's the circumstances involved:

I arrived in Endless Sands and flew around looking for chests. I found two of them, one was a respawn (the first I have seen since I started cataloguing this) and another was one I had not looted yet.

I then made my way around the zone twice looking for more chests and flying over the egg spawn locations.

I found one egg that spawns above the entrance to spooder mommy.

I then paused my search and watched a 5+ min video on Youtube and once finished, I resumed my search and found another one spawned at /way 57, 27 (the one next to the pedestal with the lone spider looking over the zone).

I did not kill any spiders.

That's about all I can figure out at this point. I've been hanging around for about an hour after I found the second egg and have yet to find another one or other chests to spawn.

Please do not downvote this just because you don't agree with the information, I have been doing this on and off for a couple weeks and have spent nearly six hours today, so I'm confident my info at least holds some weight. If you have specific info that can help with this, just leave a comment so I can update, don't be a jerk, I'm simply doing this to hopefully make it easier for others to find them or someone else that wants to do more research (but who would this late when we're about to head into 'The War Within'?).

There is the possibility that chests do respawn after you loot them, but I have yet to see more than just the one I found on my second trip back. If they do respawn (and I mean in great numbers), please just comment so I can update my info.

Edit 6: Many days have passed and yes, this is for sure linked to the treasures. I can "consistently" get them to spawn now. How and what other treasures the eggs are linked to is currently beyond me. They are not linked together so there will be many situations where none of the eggs are up and that's because there are other untouched treasures in the surrounding area. I have no idea how large the area is but I'm guessing it's the majority of the north-eastern part of the map. If you're grabbing the treasures then you will see the eggs appear, every now and then I usually see two come up. If you're alone then this part is going to get tedious if there are other people then this speeds up. I've yet to get a single glimmer of cunning.

Edit 7: Removed some of the stuff to make it easier to read in case someone else stumbles onto this. You have to gather all the treasures in the north-eastern part of the map and then you hope, complete rng, that a spider treasure appears. There is nothing you can do about this, you're still bound by treasure cooldown which might be 5-15 minutes or so. It depends on the people in the zone/or possible how many other players are interacting with treasures in the zone. If you're alone there is no easy way but flying around doing this by yourself and praying.

Edit 8: I've been doing this for a while now and finally got my first glimmer of cunning. No idea how many egg sacks I've opened but it's quite a lot.
