There is either rare mobs or Dormant Blossoms in the pool. Poke blossoms until the rare appears.
The fight isnt much hard but you need to kite rare out of the poison clouds to avoid damage.

Rootwrithe is located in the Ardenweald Tranquil Pools zone.
This rare is easy to summon, just hit each Dormant Blossom flower in the pool

Rare is a part of Adventurer of Ardenweald achievement.

Potentially bugged on live servers. I can see the three heads/blossoms on the ground, but they can’t be interacted with. Unless there’s a cooldown period where the boss can’t be activated?

At level 57 I assisted in killing this mob and i earned 47k in exp.

At lv60 the shield dropped was ilvl146 (my ilvl was 130), thought I was going to get a shield ilvl155 as shown on the list, but tough luck. Wasted 5 minutes soloing the thing as a tank.

Just killed this rare. I had to click all 3 pods several times to get him to spawn. I'm not sure if its intended or not, but it worked.

Actually, I've stepped in the middle of the dormant blossoms and start using them clockwise in less than one minute or so, beast shown. She does some noxious spores, so try to be in the edge of the lake in order to have room to go when these things show up. Good luck.

You have to keep clicking the blossoms for a whole minute or two until the rare spawns.
Don't be let down when nothing happens after interacting with all three on your first round, instead, just keep clicking and Rootwrithe will spawn.

This shield it drops actually scales. At ~181 it ended up dropping as an epic item at ilevel 184!

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Respawn time is aprox 90 minutes,
There were no Dormant Blossom when I got there as mentioned above, so verified my Silver Dragon and said 82 mins ago, was killing mobs for meat and at 90 minutes they spawn. Click them like 7 or 8 time and it showed up.

If you're stuck like I was, an important bit of info is that the blossoms require level 60 to interact with to summon the rare, like many other rares around the Shadowlands.

Otherwise, the Dormant Blossoms will spawn every 90 minutes. Right-clicking on them is all you need to do, seems to work best clicking each one after the other continuously for up to 1-2 mins (worst case).

When doing this. You might think its a bug. But if you look at the "cast" bar. You'll notice that you're actually poking it.
And the reason it might seem like a bug, its because it's trying to sleep, but you keep poking it.

Finally having enough of the poking, it'll attack you. It'll take a few times before it'll react to all the poking.
(so can you blame it for attacking back?)
