Therum Deepforge

Therum is the end objective of the Tier 2 Corrupted Zone in the Horrific Vision of Stormwind, the Dwarven District. He is required to kill following the previous objectives of defeating 3 brainwashed gnomes, places 8 explosives, and detonating said explosives. His health pool for an Elite-NPC is fairly low (~700k - No Masks), making him by far one of the easier to complete in HVoS. Being an elite, he does qualify for Elite Extermination upon completion.

Fight / Encounter:

After placing the final explosive in the Dwarven District, near the exit of the zone, a Detonator will spawn.
You must click / depress this Detonator to complete the objective and start the encounter with Therum, who is atop the buildings and is not able to be interacted with until the Detonator is depressed.
Once the Detonator is clicked, Therum will make an announcement "So you like to play with explosives do ye'" and drop down to the ground level.
Immediately following this announcement, and several times in the fight (Depending on duration), Therum will toss Explosive Ordnance onto the ground centered on your current location.
You must move away from this area once identified and steer clear while the explosives detonate. Should you be struck by the explosives, a large Sanity drain / penalty will ensue.
Once he is able to be engaged, Melee can move to within close range and begin DPS'ing down. Ranged should move away from areas affected by Explosive Ordnance and also begin DPS'ing down.
At approximately 75% and 25%, Therum will also cast Empowered Forge Breath which is another damage and sanity drain. This is fairly easy to side-step, as he blows the breath directly in front of the area he is facing.
Again, this is a relatively easy fight, and based on your DPS level and experience, the fight should be over rather quickly with little problem.
Once defeated, the player can either move to the adjacent zone (Old Town - Lost Zone), take the portal to the entrance (Cathedral Square - Tainted Zone), or remain to collect chests, crystals, etc...

Tips:

Once the Detonator is depressed and the RP starts, stand still until the first set of Explosive Ordnance is thrown. This will happen over the span of 2-3 seconds, leaving you plenty of time at distance to then move towards Therum, and away from the initial explosives.
Burn him down quickly if you can. He has a low health pool and really his special effects/spells are not difficult to deal with.
Depending on Cloak level, experience, dps ability/class; you should plan on having around ~300 sanity at start of the fight if possible. It is capable of being done with less, however this is a good guide for someone that does not have the Order Advancement for Emergency Cranial Defibrillation
Be wary of the Madness affixes for the week in conjunction with his special effects/spells. Madness: Scorched Feet triggering at the wrong time or accidentally coming into contact with Madness: Dark Delusions can really cost you some sanity.
Like above, be careful when using Horrific Masks. If you have masks and are using them, odds are you are familiar with the mechanics of the fight already. Still, things can spiral out of control exponentially if you have the masks on and for whatever reason miss a mechanic

One more thing. You can click on the bombs he throw at you so you won't have to move. These bomb behaved the same way when Alleria gets them.
