@Nevcaririel I was replying to "Nagassh" on the previous page.
I understand the anxious hype about getting this game soon; they've said "on or before December 31st" for months. If they're sticking to that date, there's only a couple weeks left...However, with this much anticipation, there's also a ton of pressure for the game to be as perfect as possible. As with any Blizzard game, I'd rather have a polished experience than a rushed product that needs tons of patching after release. That said, I love that it's the original story with a much needed overhaul. However, I truly hope they tweak the mechanics a little bit. Allow for larger groups of units (12 is downright painful), give defensive structures some *actual* damage, and maybe even add some flair like wall/gate construction or thematic funsies like the Night Elves being able to regrow trees (we see it plenty in the cutscenes).* As much as I'd love to see a fresh WC RTS, it will only happen once WoW ends. Otherwise it can only retell WoW via RTS, or be some filler game exploring side-stories during the MMO's narrative, which would be.. bad. It's like the LotR games where you played as forgettable characters "helping" the main ones behind the scenes: *yawn*.
The original 3D menus were better, imho. Especially the Reign of Chaos main menu, it was foreboding...
Boy am I pissed about that Path of the Damned campaign background. Who thought that changing Kel'Thuzad (my fav character of all times btw) with some nerubian grunt will be a good idea?I was pretty okay with the 2d backgrounds but THAT decision just making me want to cancel pre-order.
