Is this going to be a common thing every single Tuesday now since each week every raid will have a brand new affix? Are we looking at a future where 8 hour maintenances will be mandatory for every single reset in the entirety of season 4? Seems like a load of &*!@!
Wonder if the fated raids are causing the long maintenance? Also chill that's when most are at work.
They probably should have mentioned this (even though it's already been announced), but the reason for the extended maintenance this week is because of patch 9.2.7 (region-wide commodities on the AH and AH access from the mobile app). It isn't because of the Fated raid rotation; it's because it's a patch day, and patch days have always had longer than usual server downtime. There's no need for panic or anger, and the sky is not falling; this is business as usual.
I really do wish, that when they do 8+ hour downtimes, that the tech crew would go in early. Yeah I know, they are west coast. Problem being that when things go wrong, east coast players lose most of a day. 7-3 as listed is 10-6 eastern. Given that the larger patches dont always go according to plan, that could mean east coast server dont let players back in until 7-8pm. Then a back log of players trying to get on forms and any team who raids east coast on a tuesday loses a day (or a good chunk of raid time).
Love that this coincides with "Free T-Shirt Day", a once a year event to get removed shirts :( Hoping that it's over early and doesn't drag on later than shown.
