That's what happens when you no longer do games with rule "when ready", not in time.Tons of stupid bugs
They should let those players keep the items, it's the least Blizzard could after releasing the expansion in such a POOR manner. Bug and glitches also included!
No.. you don't want to let people get progression based off stuff they did last expansion.
Good they dont derserve those when the rest of us have to work hard to get gear and rep ingame.
Glad it got sorted. It's been another round of the online outrage Olympics today, but in a year we'll be looking back and laughing about this.
Blizzard fixed the bugs in less than 24 hours. I think they did a very good job. For most software products you can be happy if you get a respond for a bug report in 24h. So i see no reason to complain.
This is just disappointing software quality. These kind of hiccups happening every blue moon in production software is to be expected, but this has been a consistent pattern with > v8 WoW. I feel for the devs involved because I know that a lot of the times this happens, it's not that the develops are bad, it's that the product team has not enabled the developers to do high quality work and write sufficient tests/ do ample smoke testing in product-like environment. For a subscription game service like WoW, it's not unreasonable to expect a high quality software product that is well tested and QA'ed. If it's a QA resource issue, hire more QA Engineers. If it's development errors, find out what is hindering your developers from delivering well tested work. If, as I suspect, it's unreasonable timelines, the Product team needs to push back on whatever pressure is applying these deadlines from the business for the sake of your customers. We are getting really fed up and the value in our WoW subscription more and more seems to be losing value compared to what we are paying.

Like this game needed more Drama... what a headache.
It's a bug, bugs happen. Not all manners of testing can be fulfilled for every scenario, which only affected a small minority. Settle down children.
