If they want to keep 2 weeks between release and opening the raid, release will be december 21th and raid will launch january 4th.
If they don't mind having 3 weeks between release and the opening of the raid, I think release will be december 14th and raid will still launch January 4th.

Basically I think the raid will launch in 2021 and they change the release date based on that.Comment by LyneyaOne other thing I noticed on beta that they need to fix, is when your character is autoflying with wings (on a quest), the character is swimming while the wings are flapping. Swimming, in the air? LOL. Looks stupid. Would rather have them make the character levitate, like the priest spell, slightly tilted a bit forward. November 24th
Same day the book drops, we get Shadowlands. This would give us a 5 week Pre-Patch (if im correct) with the questline dropping on the last 2 weeks.
The issue: Thanksgiving, unless it's not much of a big deal.

December 1st
One week after the book, Shadowlands.
The issue: Mythic dropping on the 29th?

December 8th
Two weeks after the book, we get Shadowlands. Mythic is pushed back only one week, drops on January 5th.

Personally this is the only date i see no issue with, i think anything earlier than Nov 24th is highly unlikely, it wouldn't make much sense due to the book and several other reasons with the extra time and if the expansion drops late December, we would have a 10 week pre patch which is highly unlikely in my opinion, the longest we ever had was 8 and it was way too much.
On an other note, i think that we will probably get the new date very soon, like this week or maybe next week. They cannot wait much with the new date and i do believe that they were already coming up with ideas for the new date before the delay was announced so they most likely already know.

I have to disagree with Evitel on the idea that players using gear from previous tiers because it is better than current tier "is cool."

A recent example is the Ashvane's Razor Coral trinket. A 430 ilvl trinket outperforming (assuming it's used correctly) just about every other 475 ilvl trinket? Not cool, in my opinion.
